Hello all, how's it going? I'm Vendui (it means I greet you, in a geeky language), and pleased to meet you. I guess this is where I put in general stuff about me, so here goes.

I try to be a laid back and open minded guy, who's willing to give anything a shot. I'm pretty willing to talk about almost anything, and would love to learn something new. As far as interests go, I do a lot of reading, gaming (all types, from electronic to table top, to board and card games), computers, and long walks in the woods (where I can find them, not prevalent around here). My musical taste can best be described as eclectic, though I'm not a big fan of either rap or hip hop. I can be a bit of a geek at times, so fair warning. But I'm generally amiable, and very difficult to make angry. I consider myself to be very accepting of other people, good points, bad points, and all, and can usually see the beauty in someone, even when they can't.

I am getting divorced, atm. I'm primarily up here to see about meeting some new people, as that's always an interesting experience. If things happen after that, then it's cool. If not, also cool. Friends are nice to have, and you can never have too many. I would like to meet someone to spend some time with on a regular basis, but that doesn't have to be the only motivation to meet people up here.

Well, right now I work with a civilian contractor working for the US Army. As far as social life goes, I run a couple of role playing games, when I get the chance, and just generally hang out with friends or at the house. Weekends are busy, depending. Probably pretty typical.

Story-telling, apparently.

My eyes, a lot of the time. If not the eyes, then I've been told it's my friendly demeanor, once they get past the fact that I sometimes look like Charles Manson (or so I've been told).

Books: I read mostly fantasy novels, and some horror. I've probably tried most genres at least once. Favorites include: Brian Lumley's Necroscope, The Anita Blake series, Robin Hobb's books to do with The Fool, The Dark Elf books by R.A. Salvator. And can't forget Terry Pratchett.

Movies: Action and adventure mostly, with others thrown in for good measure. Good horror is hard to come by, unfortunately. Some favorites are: Goonies, The Lord of the Rings. I also watch anime of all types. Favorites include: Rurounin Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, and Bubblegum Crisis.

Music: Enya, Blackmoore's Night, various rock, video game music, Celtic pieces.

Food: is food. Honestly, I could take it or leave it, and apparently I don't eat enough, or so I've been told. Chocolate, on the other hand, is a completely different story, and should have it's own category, completely removed from all other forms of sustenance.

People (we're amusing in so many different and odd ways, who could live without people (except for the aliens who have been doing so since time unknown).

Companionship (everybody has to have somebody to share with, talk to, and be themselves around. And then they have to have everybody else to wear their masks with).

A computer (so many useful things you can do with one, and preferably with internet access)

My imagination (my life and others' would be quite dull without this, but with this potent tool at my disposal, I can (and have) ruled worlds and befriended the butterflies)

Sex (I consider myself fairly knowledgeable, but also willing to learn more. Maybe not practically experienced, but I do have an interest in other people's sexuality, and my own, and I'm willing to share or to listen).

Gaming (I'm a Game Master and a player, and lots of thoughts revolve around various aspects of gamer life. It's part of me, and not something that's going to change anytime soon, as it allows me to explore my imagination and other's in a fun way. I can leave it out of conversations though, if you're not).

Life in general (there's always something to learn and always something to think about, if you just open your eyes. I've been called oblivious, and perhaps I am. On the other hand, I've also taught people about a lot of life, and it's something that swirls around up in my head just as frequently as everything else. Getting it out, on the other hand, might not be as easy. Still working on that).

Just starting on spiritualism (I am a memeber of a Druidic Grove, and one thing we are working on is to learn about ourselves and the world. I'm still fairly new to it all, so have a long way to go in my spiritual path. I am open minded about other's religions (probably moreso than many I've met), and it doesn't figure prominantly in my discussions unless it's specifically brought up).

This mind is always active, and not always about those things, but they seem to pop up more than anything else. Not necesarrily in that order, either. It may take a while before I open up with some of my deeper thoughts, it just depends. I can be the quiet guy often, until I get to know you and feel comfortable. Fortunately, online, I'm slightly more loquacious.

Gaming, either online with friends, or at the house, also with friends, but a different group altogether. I can also be found at the movie theatre in town occasionally. And occasionally going out to eat or do something somewhere, either before or after the evening's activities are done. Friends are welcome and encouraged, in almost anything I go out to do. Many times I'm just at home.

I cried when E. Gary Gygax died.
