energetic, compassionate, and sincere
My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm a computer programmer. I enjoy playing all types
of games, but I also
enjoy going out to do random things. I'm pretty shy at first, but
once I get to know people I open up.
The "nerd/geek/whatever" side of me, so to speak:
I play World
of Warcraft. I like watching anime. I like playing Dungeons and Dragons
(it's really about getting together and having fun). I will play
Warhammer 40k,
but don't really. I like board games and tabletop games (like
Warhammer 40K).
The "athletic/outdoorsy" side of me:
I am a runner, but don't do it that often anymore. I used to do
orienteering
(Google it, it's really a lot of fun), but there isn't any places
in the Austin area that do it that I've seen. I like rock climbing, but
don't do it very often if at all (I like the physical aspect of it
really). I try to exercise, but usually get caught up in something
else and don't (can't keep a routine of doing it for some reason).
I like camping,
but never seem to do it. I like hiking, but the same thing happens as
with camping. Maybe I just need someone else to pull me along with
them to do it.
I started working with my nunchaku (nunchucks) again. Lemme tell you,
that's an arm workout. And a painful one when you screw up
sometimes, hah.
The "lazy" side of me (read as "TV time"):
I will sit and watch TV all day if I wanted to. TV shows I watch:
Stargate
Atlantis, Ghost
Hunters, Mythbusters, Stuff Happens (new Bill Nye
show, woo!), just about anything and everything on the Science Channel.
Oh, and Conan O'Brien. He's hilarious.
The "artsy/hmm" side of me:
I like to draw, but am horrible at it. I like going to museums and
the like and viewing things there (modern and classical). I like to
build things, or rather imagine building something but never do it,
the nerd or lazy side of me takes over. I have stories in my head
that I want to write down, but it's like the idea loses itself when
I try.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm currently trying to find a university to go to which will be
either Texas State or UT Austin (most likely UT Austin). I
currently have my associates in computer science (software
developer) and will be going for my Bachelors and hopefully Masters
degree.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
I'm good at making people laugh, comforting people, listening, and
helping out with things. I'm sure I'm good at more things, but I
think that stands out the most.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My personality is what I think is noticed first, but I'm not sure.
Maybe new people I meet can help me figure this one out?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
My favorite genre of book has to be fantasy books. My favorite series of
books right now is The Legend of Drizzt series by R.A.Salvatore.
Currently reading: Eldest by Christopher Paolini (second
book in the Eragon series)
I enjoy watching all types of movies, but my preference overall is
sci-fi and
comedy.
My favorite "older" movies that can I watch over and over again
(watched them many times when younger): Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Willow, Legend. Too many newer movies to
list, heh.
I listen to all types of music, my favorite genre being techno and trance. After that it's heavy metal.
I have to say though, my favorite band of all time has to be
Enigma. New CD came
out, Seven Lives Many Faces, and it's awesome.
My favorite foods are: spaghetti, pizza, and pineapple bourbon
chicken. And sushi.
Gotta love sushi.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Computers
Books
Music
Friends
That's only four, but hey that's all I got other than the true
necessities of life. Also, they're in no true order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
I think about random things. Really. I think about all sorts of
things randomly. Sometimes it's from what the things around me
remind me of.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
I work nights, so usually it's working. If not though I'm either
reading, watching TV, or on the computer. I'd go out with friends,
but I don't have many here in the area yet.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I'm pretty open when you get to know me, so if you get to know me
and then ask I'll most likely tell you.
You should message me if Propose an edit
You think I'd be a fun person to talk to (which I hope I am, all my
friends think so) or if you just want to say hello. There's no
reason why you can't say hello, is there?
Also, I'm not too much of the type that will talk first (I have
nearly no small talk ability if I don't know the person), so some
help breaking the ice helps.
