My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hate describing myself but I'll make an attempt at it. I have a type A personality, but I was raised by a type B and it's led to a lot of self contradiction and conflict. I like being around people but can be somewhat reserved. I generally hope for the best but don't expect it, and I enjoy being productive but like to take it easy.

Other than that, I like to consider myself a fairly informed person about national and world events. I enjoy traveling and adventure, but unfortunately don't get to do either nearly as often as I'd like.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently living and working in Lafayette, trying to figure out where to go from here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being reliable, loyal, and funny.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I smile a lot, and I have a cynical sense of humor. I try to keep it reigned in around those who may not appreciate it, but sometimes it slips out anyway.

Help your potential matches find common interests.
Fiction Books: A few examples would be the Hitchiker's Guide series, most of Asimov's work, along with Weber's Honor Harrington series, Iain Banks' Culture novels, Harry Potter, and A Song of Ice and Fire by GRRM.

Non-Fiction: The Guns of August, Nixonland, Wizards of Armageddon, Rumors of War, With the Old Breed, State of Denial.

Movies: Wide taste, but I'll give a few examples: Burn After Reading, Children of Men, Watchmen, Brazil, Inglorious Basterds, Apocalypse Now, Django Unchained, Cabin in the Woods.

Music: Pretty wide taste. Some examples would be Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Murder by Death, Muse, Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Mumford & Sons, Kesha, and Of Monsters and Men.

Television: Basically anything on Adult Swim, Futurama, Archer, Adventure Time, Game of Thrones, The Daily Show & Colbert Report.

Games: Planetside 2, just about anything in the Total War series, Saint's Row 2-4, FTL, etc. Also a big fan of tabletop games like Cards Against Humanity, and RPGs.

Food: I enjoy basically anything. Typically the spicier something is, the happier I am with it. Thai and Indian cuisine are particular favorites. I think of myself as a pretty decent cook, I'm always finding and trying out new recipes and experimenting with the ones I like.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

5. Internet.
6. Curiosity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. I tend to think about how various situations may end up, where my life is going, and the potential paths that both may take.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either hanging out with my roommates or partying (if I'm at my hometown).
