I love going to concerts, especially at small venues. I live within
walking distance of Bowery, Mercury Lounge, and Webster Hall, and
the MHoW is a 5 minute subway ride away.
I finished Thus Spoke Zarathustra, which was awesome. (If you
imagine Nietzche to be like the Nihilists from the Big Lebowski you
should read it. I was surprised.) Now I'm working on Ulysses, which
is amazing but it's like slogging through mud... And when that gets
exhausting I'm reading Blood Meridian. As a youth my favorite was
the six book Dune series, which is the greatest sci fi universe
ever, but really a deep study of philosophy and society and our
existence in a 5-dimensional universe.
I internet for all my TV watching needs. I like watching an entire
series in a row. I've rewatched The Wire, The Sopranos, and
Breaking Bad a great many times. I also have a habit of watching
the same movies over and over. (I know the entire script to Top
Gun.) I just rewatched Six Feet Under. I finally watched Game of
Thrones, and concluded that George RR Martin is a sick son of a
Netflix says I like "Visually striking British crime dramas." That
seems unnecessarily specific.
I also watched every Saw movie with the explicit purpose of mocking
them. It was torturous and hilarious at the same time.
I'm kind of obsessed with David Lynch, the least reason being he's
the only person I know who shares my birthday.
I eat everything and I cook everything. (Except pineapple. Ew.) My
favorite thing to cook is soup. A pureed soup is like a magic
potion. You have infinite options for layering flavors and when
you're done you've made a magic Willy Wonka food that tastes like
everything at once.
