My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am pretty content. I just moved to the West Coast from the Dirty South and I'm looking to meet cool people. I have a chill job that fulfills most of my needs, an active social life, I really dig San Francisco, and I'm surrounded by cool people pretty much all of the time. Life is good.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in advertising/brand research and what we do is pretty interesting but my job is a tad bit on the boring side. In my off time I like to see bands play and check out literary events and gallery openings. I like to surf in the summer, and I'm always down for a hike in Marin. Roadtrips, mountains, and fire pits make me smile.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Bicycle commuting. I pretend I'm in Frogger.

Dude. I'm a ray of sunshine.

I grew up on books and punk rock. I can't think of any genre of literature that I don't like and I'm really into people that can turn me onto good books that I haven't read.

I don't get to watch a lot of tv, BUT- I really liked Bored to Death, before it was cancelled. I enjoy Dexter, The League, Workaholics, Squidbillies, Shameless and shows of that nature.

I have a deep appreciation for mid-90's post punk. Jawbreaker is my all time favorite band. Lately I've been digging listening to a lot of Iron & Wine, Deer Tick, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters, Slowdive, Bon Iver, Explosions in the Sky... But it varies- my Spotify playlists are pretty diverse.

The last concert I went to was Lagwagon at Centerstage, a few days before that I saw Cursive and Minus the Bear at the Variety Playhouse and a few days before that I saw Mono at the Masq. I try to be pretty open minded about music, however, I WILL judge you if you listen to Taylor Swift.

I'm generally down for any kind of food, but offal kind of grosses me out.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Sunny days
-Open spaces
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The human condition, music, philosophy, bicycles, books that I need to read, walks that I need to take, places I would like to go, cultures that I would like to experience...

I continually search for answers to the random questions that make their way into my mind while bored at work.

I also dedicate some time to thinking of ways to make each day a little more awesome than the one before it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing poker or bingo in a dive bar, seeing a band play, monopolizing jukeboxes, or chilling hard with my faithful canine companion.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Between 2003 and 2006 I went to a lot of hippie festivals and there may be videos of me dancing around like a fairy to Grateful Dead cover bands. Don't tell ANYONE.
