I am self motivated, confident, and fun loving.

My Self-Summary

A recent trip to Hawaii has helped me discover my more adventures side! Like a majority of people I'm not a fan of heights but I like to challenge it and not let this fear keep me back from experiencing life. During my stay on Maui I did zip lining by myself. It was hard as everyone else in my group was there with a partner or a friend and they had that support to cheer them on. But I dug down deep and found the strength to fling myself off the side of a valley, and scream all the way across!

I think this really sums up where I am in my life right now. I like to challenge myself, find a new adventure and have a blast doing it all.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in the middle of a huge change in my life right now due to some things that were beyond my control. Now most people resist change I'm trying to embrace it the best I can and roll with the punches.

Due to a recent mass layoff I was unemployed but I've since started a new career and just moved to a new place. After a year of having a room mate I realized that I much prefer living on my own and have branched off to do just that.

I’m really good at

smiling, laughing and trying new things

The first things people usually notice about me

For people that don't know me I think it's my smile.

And people that know me notice first how much weight I've lost. This year I've lost almost 70lbs.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm trying to enjoy more books but I'm just a slow reader.

Movies: I enjoy a wide range of movies here is a sample. Breakfast at Tiffany's, Fight Club, Seven, Breakfast Club, Goonies, Sixteen Candles, The Harry Potter series, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Boondock Saints, Planet Earth, Blue Planet and so on.

Music is a big part of my life, while I can't play it I enjoy listening to it and going and seeing live shows. Just like movies I have a wide range of music but there are a few that I enjoy more and they are: Soul, Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady (bands: The Slackers, Desmond Dekker, Phyllis Dylan, Sam Cooke, Ken Boothe, The Aggrolites and many many more).

Food: well I really could go for sushi any day of the week. I have a semi restricted lifestyle when it comes to food but I still allow myself to enjoy life and food. I stay away from spicy food for the most part as my Irish tummy doesn't agree with it. I also have a weakness for beers. I enjoy trying different kinds of beers from all over he world and I also enjoy a good and filthy dirty vodka Martini but everything in moderation.

The six things I could never do without

on top of the basics to survive,

Camera,
Pets,
Family/Friends
my vintage Vespa,
Internet,
music

I spend a lot of time thinking about

...

On a typical Friday night I am

There is nothing typical about my Friday night. Sometimes I'm out with friends seeing live music and sometimes it's a good book next to the fire. I'm not into clubs but enjoy house parties and bars with live music.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

12 years ago, when I was young I got married and within 9 months I was smart enough to get out. I've learned from my experiences and hold no malice.
