I am dorky, fun loving, and laid back.
My Self-Summary
I'm a college grad with a BFA. I like to be out doing stuff as much
as possible. Wish I could host/go to a cook out every week. I enjoy
traveling and seeing new places. I've been to pretty much every
corner of the US... now to go somewhere outside the country other
than Canada. I love to watch and play sports and can get very
competitive with them. My favorite sports are hockey, football, and
soccer. I love to watch movies, especially in the theater. I hope
to be apart of the film making process some day, but definitely
behind the scenes and not in front of the camera. I don't really
like to write about myself in short essay form. If you want to know
more just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Not a whole lot unfortunately. Looking for work mostly. I need to
stop getting seasonal jobs as they tend to not be open for
annoyingly long periods of time.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty tech savvy. I've built computers for my friends and
family and they always come to me to troubleshoot any problems. I
always try to make people happy and laugh as much as possible and I
think I do a pretty good job at that.
"for your good at things...I want to be like...except you always
ruin christmas!" -Friend of mine
The first things people usually notice about me
I get a lot about how tall I am all though I don't think 6'2 is all
that tall. I mean even dudes have said that... so maybe I do need
to knock a few inches off somehow. I can also be really quiet at
times and people have said stuff about that too. It's become a
little running joke with my friends that I can't let them get a
word in. It's usually with groups of people I don't know that I'm
the most quiet, I'll just sit back and watch, but as soon as I get
comfortable I'll open up.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm really into Sci-Fi and Fantasy books. My favorite series are
the
The Dark
Tower series,
A Song of Ice and Fire
series, and
Battletech books, and the lesser
known World of the Watches series (apparently very popular in
Russia as that's where the author is from). I'll give pretty much
any Sci-Fi or Fantasy book a shot except Harry Potter. I don't know
why but I have no desire to read them. I've read the first three
Dune books, really
enjoyed the first one but my interest went down hill pretty fast
with the next two. I just got done reading
Un Lun Dun which even though it's
more of a kids book, love the world the author created. So weird
and awesome.
American Gods was also a cool
concept and book.
Mirroring the books, I really like Sci-Fi movies. Favorite hands
down is
Star
Wars IV-VI. Also a big fan of the
Lord of the Rings and
Indiana
Jones. Some other movies I love in no particular order
Matrix,
Collateral,
Road to
Perdition,
Children of Men, pretty much
every
Pixar movie,
but
Wall-E and
The
Incredibles are my top 2,
District 9,
Blade Runner,
The Prestige,
Equilibrium (Christian Bale
being awesome when he wasn't well known).
Music wise I like pretty much all forms of rock. Not a fan of
country which apparently is crazy for a Pittsburgher. I don't mind
rap and club music but not something I can listen to every day.
Some of my favorite bands are:
Flogging Molly,
Dropkick Murphys,
The Killers,
Foo Fighters,
Paramore,
Death
Cab for Cutie,
Coldplay,
Explosions in the Sky,
Flyleaf. Flip on
the X and I'll like just about anything they play.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully out doing something with my friends. If not that either
working or something animation related (if I'm in the right
mindset).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am an absolute chicken about scary/horror things. I won't go to
horror movies, I won't go to haunted houses, I won't play horror
video games. Sometimes even watching some show in discovery or
history channel really late at night about monsters or ghosts or
aliens or whatever will creep me out. And its not to say I'm scared
of the dark or my shadow or anything like that (I spent a lot of my
childhood outside at night with my dad doing astronomy things),
just those couple specific things... no thanks.
