“The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”

What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm in the process of changing it. I used to work in financial services. After a rough start I worked hard to improve my position and finally I got a position which was well paid. At this point I thought I would have reached some kind of milestone and found my key to happiness, but almost 4 years later I had to summarize that my job was soul eating, that money can't buy happiness and that I couldn't keep on the chosen track. At the moment I'm doing my first steps on a new track I have found for myself. Now I'm working in a small company in the IT sector and enjoy the spirit of a start-up. Because of this new job I moved to the area of Bonn and it's great to explore a new region and get to know new people. So if you can recommend something in this area, please go ahead, I appreciate it! I'm interested in a lot of things. Travel a lot, have been to 28 different country's so far, like to try new thinks.
Right now I'm very much into running. I do it 5 days a week. It's unbelievable how quickly one becomes better. I'm able to run 10 km in under 60 minutes, and I take some pride out of this fact.
2 years ago I started kitesurfing. It's a lot of fun, but also exhausting, especially if you're not able to gain height. I'm only able to kitesurf when I'm in holidays so 2 years sounds a lot, but it's not really much.
I'm also interested in scuba diving , riding a racing bike, swimming, playing tennis and go skiing.
Of course I have also other interest than sports.
I'm interested in politics, like to watch theater shows, enjoy movies with an intelligent plot, love to play board games, like concerts (one of the best was soundtrack of Lord of the Rings, FANTASTIC! ) ...
Recently I was introduced to an outdoor game named Mölkky, and I was immediately hooked.

To sum it up, I think it's important to be open to make new experiences and I'm almost always willing to try out new things.
I’m really good at
1) sleeping, and since I know people having troubles with their sleep I' m proud of it.
2) knowing something in everything, but not knowing everything in something.
3) find s.th. positive in any bad thing.
4) listening to others
5) being empathic
6) driving things: cars, trucks, boats
7) beeing open for new people, new experiences, new places, new thoughts...
8) making omelette at sundays
The first things people usually notice about me
Better ask them.....
But ok, will try to answer in my opinion.
I think people would think of me as an easy going guy. Less a loud speaker, more an important speaker. Open minded, friendly, but with a poker face.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
"We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.” Tom Robbins

“All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need... fantasies to make life bearable."

REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.

"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"

YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.

"So we can believe the big ones?"

YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.

"They're not the same at all!"

YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.

"Yes, but people have got to believe that, or what's the point—"

MY POINT EXACTLY.”
― Terry Pratchett, Hogfather
On a typical Friday night I am
Most definitely I'm doing anything but clubbing. I HATE it. I truly believe it brings out the most primitive and detestable behavior of mankind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Read my answers to these questions here and find out.
I'm curious too. ;-)
You should message me if
You don't smoke!

You haven't got a picture showing you posing with a gun.

You're able to refer your message to something I mentioned in my profile or while answering the questions. "Hi I'm xyz. How are you?" is nice, but it's only a nice beginning and shouldn't be the whole message!
