Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New to the City! Looking for awesome people to meet and if anyone
needs a roommate I'd be happy to meet you! :D
Talk to you soon I hope!
Hi there! I'm Vic, A simple guy born of a Dutch mother and a French
father. I live and study in Paris and love to travel and meet new
people from all around the world. I'm interested in history and
geography (includes geopolitics) and also economy.
I'm on this site mainly to meet new people around Paris or planning
on coming to Paris, but even if you're not from around here, you're
welcome to message me! :)
I'm pretty outgoing and always looking for something to do, when
I'm bored at home I sometimes go for long walks in the city. Going
from saint Germain des prés to Montmartre, crossing the Seine
between the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries. It's an amazing
city and everytime I walk around I discover new unique details.
You're welcome to join me for one of these walks too! They usually
end in a nice little bar on Montmartre, hidden away from the
mainstream tourists or at a pub, depending on the time and weather.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently studying at a business school in Paris. Recently came
back from a 4 month internship in São Paulo. I'm seriously
considering moving there in a few years, but then again, I'd also
love to move to Amsterdam or New York. I can't decide! I've already
got a bachelor's degree in Languages and International Trade and am
currently working on a master's degree.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm very good at learning new languages, I currently speak French,
Dutch, English, Spanish and Portuguese. I'm good at convincing
people that what I say is true, which allowed me to get good grades
in marketing classes hehee... I did 9 years of swimming, I guess
that makes me a pretty good swimmer? Haha.
I'm good at making new friends and socializing when I meet new
people from different cultures :)
Also, ladies (autocorrect almost put "Lazies", guess it could work
too), I'm very good at cooking, and I absolutely love to cook!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm a laid back person :) and that I often use jokes to break
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
All right! About books... I loved Pot-Bouille and Au bonheur des
Dames by Emile Zola. Then of course there's In Search of Captain
Zero and Cosmic Banditos by Alan C. Weisbecker, awesome books! I'm
also a huge fan of Halo which means I also read the books :) aaaand
lately I've started reading some F.S. Fitzgerald and Huxley.
Favorite movies? I'd say Inception, Cloud Atlas, Gran Torino, The
Matrix, Snatch, Project X ( for the party, not the story obviously
), Blade Runner, Star Wars ( goes without saying ), The Lord of the
Rings, Harry Potter... That sounds geeky. But hey, not my fault if
those movies are awesome is it? :P
Series? Friends, Chuck, Community, Sherlock, Californication, GoT,
Suits, and of course, last but not least Doctor Who.
Hmmm food... DUTCH FOOD! :D Kroket ftw! Or sushi, indonesian, any
asian food probably. And of course, the huge variety of dishes
included in the French culinary arts. I'm so glad I was born
here... Last but not least, STEAK. I have a cook book with 200 ways
of cooking steak and potatoes.
I'll add my favourite games! :) The Halo series! And the Elder
Scrolls series ( I actually managed to finish every damn quest in
skyrim. Including the DLCs... Same thing goes for oblivion! ) The
Mass Effect series, although I wanted to kill myself after
finishing the third one ;-( There's also Fallout ( From the first
through New Vegas ) and the mythic Goldeneye on N64! :D Along with
any Mario game. I'll stop with these because I could keep going
forever ( And you'd get bored if you aren't already :p ) I think I
don't even have to mention that I grew up playing pokemon.. almost
everyone has! ;)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Where to start?...
1) My bed
3) Adventure & Excitement (sex counts as excitement
4) Good cocktails
5) A smartphone & Internet (or the perfect travel
6) Dutch Kroketten & Bitterballen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, it can be my life or my friend's life or even some random
person I just happened to cross on the street's life. I wonder how
it'll all be in ten years, or twenty years.
Oh and I also think about a way to gain eternal life! ( I'm
obviously kidding! Second degree right there ) though it would be
cool to observe, but a little to lonely for me.
And of course a lot of other random crap... Like why is chandler's
second name Muriel?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, or having drinks at a friend's place. It all
depends on the time of year.
Either that or Netflix or some shady game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes spend hours browsing through wikipedia... It's
impossible to read an entire article without clicking on a
Ask me any question about the Roman Empire, I can answer it. Or
about Russia's history. Or US history. Any history really.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you like my profile of course for starters. :)
And if you believe it'd be interesting to go for a walk or a drink!
Or something spontaneous! I love spontaneity!
I hope I'll hear from you soon!
