I like to down a large glass of lukewarm water in one go.
I like colors. Green particularly.

I am musical, slow to judge, and thinky.
What I’m doing with my life
Beyond working at a liquor store and hosting at a café,
I'm seeing movies,
listening to music,
playing music,
writing music,
being a friend,
hanging out.
I’m really good at
Recalling trivia.
Snapping with multiple fingers at a time.
Having no shame.
Kissing, apparently.
Having ideas bounced off of me.
Dressing for the wrong occasion.
The first things people usually notice about me
Here are some guesses:
I'm quiet when I don't talk, and a bit bombastic when I do.
My teeth are very straight.
I wear bright green shoes with bright pink laces.
I wear glasses that come from the 50s.
I have a blond mustache.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I like books which may or may not have "protagonists" or "antagonists," which includes nonfiction as well as unorthodox fiction. Lately, some books I have really enjoyed have been:
Jitterbug Perfume
Geek Love
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The Great Gatsby
Like Water for Chocolate
Timequake

Movies: I have seen so many God damn movies. Some that I have seen recently which exceeded expectations were:
Secretary
Carnival of Souls
Death Proof
Margot at the Wedding
Vampyr
The Dark Knight
The Trouble with Harry
The Hands of Orlac
Synecdoche, New York
The Spirit of the Beehive
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Music: Let's play the "shuffle music on the iPod and see what comes up" game. First twenty artists are:
Brian Eno
Of Montreal
Ghost of Monkshood
The Beach Boys
The Strokes
The Moldy Peaches
Syreeta
Angelo Badalamenti
They Might Be Giants
The Cardigans
Sly & the Family Stone
Andrew Bird
Elmer Bernstein
Rilo Kiley
Cab Calloway & his Orchestra
Ronald Stein
Danny Elfman
Ennio Morricone
The Magnetic Fields
David Byrne

Food: I keep finding good food, and then forgetting about it, only to rediscover it. There's something joyous about that. Generally:
Indian (although of all that I've had, the curries are my least favorite. Saag is really underrated.)
Middle Eastern (this includes Greek, Iranian, Israeli-stinian, and Turkish)
Mexican (with a "shout out" to Tex-Mex, the redheaded stepchild)
Pasta in white sauces (or just things with white sauces in general)
Boba tea
Artichoke with lemon butter sauce
Mint chocolate chip or coffee ice cream
Heinz chili sauce
Pomegranates
Australian wine
Goat cheese
Dark, dark chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
Good conversation
singing
physical contact
refreshing drinks
complete underwater immersion
and surprises.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether the song I'm writing expresses a sentiment worth expressing.
On a typical Friday night I am
A lot of the time, I like to just stay in on Fridays. I occasionally like to go to see a band or out for drinks; however, I'm not much of a rowdy party person and I can't think of many things more unappealing to me than someplace like Bricktown on a Friday night. Staying in usually involves a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really don't read very much, but people think I'm well read. I don't correct them, and wonder whether I'm committing some very light form of intellectual fraud.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You play a musical instrument for fun or profit.
You've written a story and need an unbiased third party's opinion.
You've made a film and it needs music.
You don't understand how anyone can meet anyone in a loud, dark, smoky, crowded bar.

You should also "message" me if you'd like to go somewhere and actually talk. You know, in person. I don't have much interest in having some life on the "internet." I spend enough time there by myself, thank you.
