My name is Rich, I'm a recent transplant to Ohio from California. In moving to Ohio I've become the President of a small company currently preparing for a large expansion and need to update some of my info accordingly. Please be patient with some of it as I'm very busy with the expansion plans.

Most notable job: I worked for CAR, California Association of Realtors, in their political office. That's right, I worked not just for "the man", but the people that pay "the man" directly. It wasn't so bad. But then the market went to crap and so did my job. This was surprisingly the only job I've had that I actually liked going to work everyday and felt appreciated everyday. What a trip.

I remain optimistic and am trying to revamp my life a bit and enjoy. Boxing is something I'd like to return to for fun, but I've been out of the ring for 11 yrs and I'm not too sure If I'd be any good. But I did have a lot of fun when I was a kid. Maybe I'll just stick to getting back to pilates, hiking or whatever catches my interest. I'd love to learn Muay Thai and Wing Chun.

I'm a big supporter of organic meats, veggies and products but am saddened that there's no longer a co-op just a nice long walk away.

I am hyper-intelligent, kind, and a bit of an asshole

Working and setting some short term goals to help take the haze away from other long term goals.

Trying to learn guitar on my own; kind of a challenge and thus far I've been lazy as all get out.

At a coin flip I can be shy or utterly brazen.

I have hazel eyes so I always get people telling me I have nice green or blue or occasionally weird yellow eyes (not the whites, i mean the iris) it all depends on the lighting, situation etc.

Books: Changes pretty often, but I'll read nearly anything worthwhile. I love sci-fi and fantasy, I'm kind of a geek that way. I'll read a text book for enjoyment and to teach myself something. I love philosophy and the debating of. Psychology is a grand thing to read because there's always different hypotheses for why humanity is so broken =)

Other books: Guns Germs and Steel, Water Margin, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Collective Works of Lu Hsun, Jihad Vs. McWorld.

Music: hyphy/hiphop/rap, r&b, folk, pop (non-american), non-emo rock, jazz, blues and developing an appreciation for punk. Other than that, whatever my most recent mix is. I chose to list genre's because it's easier than naming off a ton of artists.

Movies: I love Korean and Chinese movies.
Some of my favorite Korean movies are: Il Mare, No Mercy For The Rude, Windstruck, My Sassy Girl, Crying Fist, Old Boy and 200lb beauty.
Some of my favorite Chinese movies are:God of Gamblers, Once A Thief, and A Better Tomorrow. These are my older favorites by the way.
Hands down favorite Japanese movie: Memories of Matsuko
Some of my favorite Hollywood Movies: The Sting, PCU, Wag The Dog, Mystic River, Must Love Dogs, Super Troopers, Heat, Men of Honor, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Moonstruck, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Breakfast at Tiffany's (...yeah, I said it, Audrey Hepburn was a stone cold fox back in the day.)

Food: Sushi (much love for Toro and Shiru Maguro), Chinese (always down for dim sum/yin cha), Thai, Indian, Italian and Mexican. Ooh, and if you know any any good hole in the wall Pho bangs. One of my favorite things gets a lot of weird looks though, Feng Zhua (I won't describe it as some of you are too easily squeamish and weird... UPDATE: Why do people keep asking only to send me responses of "that's gross?" No one said YOU had to eat it). =)

I'm not materialistic. In the last year I discovered this when my ex destroyed most of my possessions and my apt over me taking an orange (yes, an orange, the fruit) to work. This is why I didn't list any "things" other than books.

Life. Not the meaning of, but what I want from it. Life's kicked my ass enough times, but now it's my turn ^_^;; I hope.

Languages I'd like to learn. I'd like to get my Spanish and Mandarin back up to spec, but my priority now is my Mandarin. However Vietnamese, Farsi, Korean and Hindi are some language life goals of mine.

Names for the Shiba Inu I'd like to get down the road. I love intelligent animals and Shiba Inu's fit the bill being obstinate, cantankerous, wily, intelligent little bastards that would keep me on my toes.

I used to own cats and love em, but I can't personally own any again (this in no way means YOU can't own any, I <3 animals). Due to my move I was forced to give them up. They were like my little family and I'm not going to replace them.

Hanging out with friends doing something remotely entertaining, working, or wishing I was out doing something far more interesting than what I AM doing.

Life experiences are what represent the decisions you make in life and affect how you became who you are.

If you treat me well, I'll do anything within my physical power to help you, but if you burn me, you're going to find I'm no longer there.

While I was growing up my mom became very racist and her actions made me distrust white people in general for a long time. So yes, I was a self hating cracker. I've since gotten over most of it, but every now and then a white person will say something so stupidly racist it makes me stop and wonder if I'm really over it.

If you like to have fun, willing to be goofy and just enjoy life on the whole then say "Hi". Or if you want to, AIM: viewfinderlife. Whether you're looking for a friend or just trying to feel me out, you never know if you don't try. ^_^

If you're not opposed to lifelong learning or languages (there was a girl on this site who seriously told me I'm "stupid for wanting to learn anything other than English and there isn't any point because you're in America"). So if you don't think like her, that's a huge plus.

If you're short, and/or have dark hair and a brain that is used often then you're at an advantage over other candidates. Intelligence and diverse interests are highly sought after and very attractive qualities in my opinion.
