My friend calls me Voogle, as in Vik+google. I have a staggering wealth of information(of questionable utility) stored in my brain. I like to call myself the quintessential academic dilettante . The jack, or more accurately nerd-of-all-trades.

I'm a media soak, I consume media! So with that in mind, let's just call this a brief overview!

The Henriad- Richard II, Henry IV(1&2), Henry V, I love Shakespeare.
The Sundering- Jacqueline Carey's appealingly fucked up and surprisingly not-raunchy take on LoTR.
The Dresden Files- The only important Harry in wizarding!
The Richard Sharpe and Horatio Hornblower series- Who doesn't love reading about those cheese-eating, surrender-monkey froggies getting their asses kicked.(Disclaimer: If you're offended by this joke, stop reading here, we're not going to work.)
Tons of Nonfiction and Poetry- Stephen Jay Gould is awesome! The freaknomics family is very good, if occasionally specious. Science Friction, Warrior Politics, Six Frigates, and anything written by Pinker round out this list.

I've also been reading Terry Pratchett lately... A lot...

Comics:
Kingdom Come, Watchmen, Infinite Crisis, Anything involving Hal and Ollie in the 70s/80s, Justice, Invincible(only comic I'm currently reading)

Movies:
Star Wars- Need I say more?
Top Gun- Tom Cruise is Tom-Cuise-Crazy, just be glad it's him, not you...
