I've lived in Texas my whole life, though I lack the accent. I grew up in Houston, and moved to Dallas in 2006 to attend college at UTD. Now I'm trying to find the right balance between financial security and low stress. I'll let you know up front that I have odd work hours - it starts at 6 PM and ends at 4:30 AM. If you have a traditional 9-5 job, it'll be difficult for us to see each other during the week.
I'm very focused on improving myself - I love to read about the world and how people behave (by the way, Cracked.com is one of the best websites to go for those kinds of articles). I love writing, whether it's fiction or nonfiction, and I hope to put out a couple of books in the coming year. Documentaries on Netflix are awesome, though I feel betrayed when it turns out the facts in them aren't accurate. (I'm looking at you, Waiting for Superman) I'm very open to criticism, and I try to be mindful of that when talking to others. The world is a tough place; I'm just trying to make it better.
One hobby that's very important to me is video games. Because of their interactivity, I think games have the potential to tell stories even more engaging than books or film. Someday, I would love to write a story for one.
