there's not enough r, oom in these fields, and to put what I want
My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm me. Pretty random. Don't like me? Wait a few
minutes.
I live in a small town. I fix computers for a meager living. I can
sometimes be found doing karaoke, trying to remember any of the
martial arts
stuff I used to know, trying to get better at swimming (that's the build I want,
hell yeah), or getting utterly owned at games (good for the reflexes, though).
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I've often heard people telling others to "decide what to do with
your life." If it's so important, I don't think it should be
rushed, regardless of what another person's pace might be. So, what
I'm doing with my life is deciding, carefully weighing.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
I'm really good at things I'm interested in. I know it's mind
blowing, but it's true.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
Wears all black,
strange sense of humor, odd movement style. I'm a weird person.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
(A) Books: I've liked all Steinbeck I've read. I also loved
1984, The Jungle,
Brave New
World. I guess there's a trend here of socially critical
literature. I mean to read more, but daily life isn't so permissive
of that. I'd love to get an Amazon Kindle, though. I'd
definitely read more. Probably while at work.
(B) Movies: Science fiction is great,
especially when it's flashy and action-oriented, or suspenseful, or
sci-fi-horror.
(C) Music: Electronic stuff, dancy stuff, heavy
stuff, and/or ambient/creepy stuff. And then a little jazz and classical when the mood is there.
I could drop a list here if I thought it was relevant, but if
you're interested in specifics, feel free to drop me a line.
(D) Foods: Whatever I feel like.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
That's a tough one. Or six.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into
your loneliest loneliness and say to you: 'This life as you now
live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and
innumerable times more' ... Would you not throw yourself down and
gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you
once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered
him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine.'"

awesome.)
I think about transhumanism and technological
singularity a lot. I imagine what it would be like to have all
of humanity's knowledge not at my fingertips, but at my every axon,
trickled into my nerves directly, prompted by nothing more than the
thought of wanting to know. It would be given to me in streams of
pure visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory information: "these are the
properties of niobium, in terms of your sensory perception and the
laws of physics," and full knowledge of it would be mine within
picoseconds. The experience of gaining the knowledge would be mine,
without the economic requirements, transportation, or scheduling.
And it wouldn't be only for me. It would be for all of us.
Communication between individuals
would be instantaneous and unambiguous, using the same methods.
It's not about cheating the mind from a true learning experience.
It's about artificially developing the mind at the same time as one
naturally develops it, using it to its full potential by giving
cohesive multiple inputs all with the same meaning. If you could
see, hear, smell, taste, and touch truth all at once, you would
know it with the entirety of your being. Perfecting the interface
between the real world and our minds will give us absolute control
over our reality. (long winded, but not a quote)
I would like to think that I ask "why" AND "why not?"
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
What do you think would be entertaining? There's not much, so I
might have to make something up.
You should message me if Propose an edit
- you don't believe those "personality awards" labels that are
determined by answers to the questions asked by the site. Every
answer is situational and, I'd like to think, rational. Sometimes,
if I have no opinion on a subject, I answer non-committally, hoping
not to affect results either way, so factors like that make these
"personality awards" useless as a personal summary.
- you think we could get along, hang out, something.
- [to be installed next tuesday]
- the impulse strikes you. I don't intend for this section to be a
"you should NOT message me if," like I see on so many profiles.
This isn't here to limit or exclude.
