My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I am on this site to meet truly awesome people to add to the other awesome people I already have in my life. I've finished my latest foray in to academia by working on my MA -- on contemporary analytical philosophy of logic (sounds neat, right?!). Now I'm working for a startup in the loop to engage the other half of my brain for a bit ( I just can't get enough of things that are really hard to explain to people, but love trying to ). I have a deep interest in theory and practice and have a hard time seeing the separation between the two, thus the combination of both academic and business acumen. I was recently described by a good friend as "esoteric." I really enjoy engaging in heated debates about topics that matter, both as a way to investigate the ideas and to get to know the people behind them better.

I'd really like to get to know some interesting people. I'm not here trolling for sex. (If that's all I wanted I'd be over at -- and yes, I think that dates me). Basically, I think it comes down to the fact that I'm looking for people who are intellectually rich, socially vibrant, personally aware, and intuitively very present.

Also, if you take any stock in personality typing systems (which I have a deep skeptical empiricism about), I'm a:
-- ENTJ by Myer's Briggs
-- Rational by Kiersey
-- 8 according to the Enneagram
-- Middle-High Extrovert, Low Neurotic, Middle-High Conscientiousness, Middle-Low Agreeableness, and Middle Openness on the Big 5 personality type system
Discussing the relative value and worthlessness of any/all of these systems could occupy my life, so feel free to join in on the conversation.

I am decisive, liberal, and awesome
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Alright, I extricated myself from mathematical academia to join the business world, only to go back to academia for a philosophy degree, and now flip back to business. I have a feeling this is a pattern that will repeat many times.

I spend a lot of time fixing up my old Kawasaki motorcycle. I'm also a pretty decent swing dancer. I work for a startup and wouldn't mind starting a few businesses of my own. Although I have a few long-term project irons in the fire, I often also have smaller ones pop in and out as opportunity and time permit. These have recently included wanting to build a still, create a fractal mobile, build an art broker website, and write a book on relationships and non-monogamy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
getting things done, fixing computers, advanced math but not arithmetic, finding the most interesting and critical holes in arguments, seeing how systems work, being spastic, drinking whiskey, seeing the other side and gray areas, sounding authoritative, maximizing limited resources, enjoying mac n' cheese, sculpting complex ideas subtly, helping others feel competent, and making a damn good guess about how things could end up (including recognizing the things we don't, won't, and can't know)
The first things people usually notice about me

I frame-set without even trying. I talk more than I type and I
really like to talk when I'm happiest. Others have said cocky yet
adorable. Reconcile these as you'd like.
