I am amused, silly, and helpful.

My Self-Summary

I give out prizes for comedy.

I am quite definitely in a relationship and utterly unshakeable on that front, so please don't message me for sex or dating, but I like people (to be honest I'm utterly fascinated by people and enjoy every aspect of them, even the unpleasant bits - I'm really looking forward to seeing how many people still message me for sex after the above warning, that's how much I'm interested in people) and if you enjoy being in the company of others for amusement, interest, support, friendship or anything else that doesn't involve genitals, I'd like to hear from YOU!

I've had a slightly odd, transitionary life. Things keep changing all the time but nothing really bad ever happens, it's just another step along the way. I like living like that. I like being able to love and move and develop and never be afraid of anything, of giving myself to anyone or of enjoying my time. Never having to hide. Never having to be ashamed. I am going past pretention into disgrace, so will shut up here. I'm Anna. Hi.

What I’m doing with my life

Working for the City!

Eating pasties and pie (or basically any pastry-based foodstuff). Drinking beer and vodka (or basically any alcohol-based beverage). Going to gigs. Going to pubs. Travelling the world one street at a time.

I’m really good at

Touching my nose with my tongue. Typing. The "P Please Bob" round of the Trocadero pub quiz (it's a round where you are given a sentence like, for an easy example, "WOTW was a film with Tom Cruise" and you have to guess that the letters stand for War of the Worlds), to the degree that I occasionally frighten my teammates. It's nothing to be proud of.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't really know, I've never asked. I laugh a lot, so probably that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(a) anything that will make me think a little bit, or learn a little bit. I'm well aware that I'll never know everything, much though I'd love to, but the constant desire to sate my curiosity keeps me reading.

(b) stupid comedies and indies.

(c) music that sounds like there are too many guitars at work, or that makes me dance like a crazy thing, or that makes me want to listen on repeat until I fall asleep. Anything that says something about my life. Anything that makes me sit up and take notice.

(d) I like pie.

The six things I could never do without

You know, there's nothing apart from the obvious that I couldn't do without. So, ok, life-sustaining chemicals. But possibly books, and possibly alcohol... those two are a marvellous way to spend your life.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The Eastern Bloc. It's a bit of an obsession.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drunk. Hmmm. Usually in the pub from four til elevenish chatting and laughing and taking the piss out of chosen subject of mockery for the day, and then disappear to club of choice to dance and sing loudly. Pie and chips on the way home at about three. Bit of a drink and party in my room when I get home. Pass out on floor about seven. Eggs, bacon and Coca-Cola for breakfast. Same time again next week everyone? Yessums, cool, see you then. My mother is so proud of me.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I kick violently in my sleep.

You should message me if

You live in Birmingham (in England, obviously) and enjoy drinking, dancing, eating and the stand-out pleasures of society.
