I currently have -5- craigslist ads up in the strictly platonics section. I write up to 4 quality, as in 3-5 paragraph, messages to people (men & women) I find on OkC who're looking for "new friends" every day... Between today and September 20th (fall quarter), I will sit alone in my apt from 7am until 4pm M-F... zero replies, zero emails, zero misplaced in spam.

-I do not want in your pants.
-I have a 50" plasma HD tv with bluray movies
-I have a ps3
-I can offer transportation

why the fuck is it so hard to make friends?

How many of us on OkCupid are guilty of omitting pure honesty in their profile? How many are willing to bare their personality in total?

I was chatting with a girl online the other day who mentioned I may not wish to include the negative bit about my feelings towards southerners and also that tid-bit about my rare drug usage. She felt that ppl might become uncomfortable and not message me..

Granted that a profile filled with "sugar & spice" is going to get a better reception than one filled with cranky tirades. Still I'm a little worried about coming off as fake, or worse, asking the fabled "perspective playmate" if they're into rolling, and having them freak out at me..

So I guess I'm a little torn and could use some advice..

inside of tiny little towns, like Spokane. Not nearly soon enough, I long to be walking down (not up) the steep hills of downtown Seattle. Where else can you be acosted by the homeless for littering... Super-Ecofriendly cities amuse me.

I have yet to find a rave scene here.. which is odd considering the crap-ton of emo kids I see walking around here everyday. I'm getting worried I won't give myself a bass induced, pressure headache, until August. :/
