I am bad at thinking up, adjectives, and stuff.

My Self-Summary

Volpar enjoys the Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash, and working on cars. He enjoys long walks down the local dike and the occasional beer or three.

His middle name is Gerald. His car is green. More particularly, it is an adorable, green, jelly bean. His other car is blue.

He wishes you to know that this was, in fact, not written by him. It was written by his obnoxious best friend. :^)

Well since I should probably chime in with something useful at this point, I'm a fairly easy going guy, and pretty easy to get along with. I spend a good amount of time with my friends, occasionally at a party, but often just doing whatever happens to be going on.

I like to spend time working on my cars, and recently have rekindled an interest in old Japanese motorcycles think 1960s/early 70s

I thoroughly enjoy the occasional beer and while I do enjoy the good stuff, I'm definitely not above putting away a few cheapies...

What I’m doing with my life

Rethinking my school choices, I need to fill out the paperwork for my ASE certificate, and take the tests, but I don't really think I'd like to spend my life in a shop working on other people's crap... I'd love to run a speed shop, and only work on nice stuff, but the chances of making a living at that are slim, perhaps a slightly profitable hobby, but I'm rambling... So right now I'm thinking about going back to school for maybe a history degree, not that I know what I'd do with that. So basically, I'd love to be one of the people who knows exactly what they want to do in life...
So, for now, I'm punching the clock at Trader Joe's and trying to figure out what kinda plans the man upstairs has for me.

I’m really good at

Taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and putting them back together.
I find the mechanical workings of things fascinating, and I think I'm fairly handy.

Taking on too many projects at once.

Talking about most anything.

Remembering movie/TV quotes and other useless information.

The first things people usually notice about me

The grease on my hands.
That I'm a bit of a smartass.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite Music: 5 Mile Chase, The Ass Ponys, The Beastie Boys, Biz Markie, Blümchen, The Crash Test Dummies, The Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Frank Zappa, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, MCVL, Pink Floyd, Rammstein, The Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Run DMC, The Rolling Stones, Weezer, The White Stripes, etc., etc., etc. Favorite TV Shows: Family Guy, Futurama, That 70s Show, Hogan's Heroes, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Chobits, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Love Hina, Trigun, Firefly, Chappelle's Show, Invader Zim, Johnny Quest Favorite Movies: Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Super Troopers, Pulp Fiction, The Wall, Kill Bill, Office Space, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, The Princess Bride, Serenity, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood, History Of The World Part I, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Austin Powers, Just about anything with Jackie Chan, Just about anything with pirates. Favorite Books: The Bible, Haynes Volvo 240 Repair Manual, The Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Limerick, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings series, The Prydain Chronicles, The Dark is Rising series, When The Wind Blows & The Lake House, and a whole bunch of other great books who's names escape me at present.

The six things I could never do without

Family and Friends - One and the same, they need something, I do what I can, and they're always there for me. The man upstairs would fall in here too.

Humor - Never take anything too seriously, it's not going to help anything. I try not to be too proud to laugh at myself.

Cars - Working on them, driving them, making them faster, it's what I like to do.

Gasoline - See above.

Music - My life's gotta have a good soundtrack.

Space - I have a random desire to live semi-remotely, not too far from civilization, but far enough not to be bothered all the time. Think western Wisconsin.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What to do with my life.

I really don't know, I think about a lot of things some days it's cars, some other days it's something else entirely, a lot of my thinking tends to focus on how to make something work, or make something that works work better.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably getting home from work around 11:30, sitting around for a bit, maybe having a beer, then going to bed, unless I have friday off, then who knows...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Occasioanally I have an urge to by a 3rd gen camaro with T-Tops, grow a huge Joe Dirt Mullet, and cruise around listening to bad 80s rock. Fortunately it passes quickly.

And yes, there is such a thing as good 80s rock.

But seriously, I'm really bad at throwing things away, I'm a bit of a pack rat.

You should message me if

I really don't know, that's a decision for you to make, I'm not that great at hyping myself up, but I'll give it a shot.
If you message me, you're life will be permanently changed for the better, you'll gain the ability to fly, and make objects levitate just by thinking about them. If at some point you actually meet me, you'll be able to read minds, predict events in the near future, sing animals to sleep, and create amazing balloon sculptures of British landmarks with your feet.
