My friends would tell you I'm not easy to summarize, which I hope and believe they would mean in a good way, mostly. My interests are diverse and eclectic. I suppose I'm like one of those guys in the "Dove for Men" commercials - comfortable in my own skin. And, I've been told I'm good at making other people feel comfortable too.

I practice law and most days I enjoy it a lot. It's apparently something I'm well-suited for. When I'm not working, I love to cook, eat, drink, read, play my guitars and ukulele, listen to music (jazz, alt country, pretty much anything played by good musicians), run, hike, travel ... did I mention that I love good food and wine?

I'm a stubborn runner, but a few nagging little injuries have made it hard to do as much of it as I'd like. So, I spend more time at the gym - battling ropes are a new fave - and recently bought a single speed bike for riding around town on our great local trail system. I have the feeling the biking thing will become a new passion, if I let it.

I enjoy travel and haven't done nearly enough of it in recent years. I've reached a point in my life and career where I have more opportunities to get away and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of that. And as much fun as solo travel can be, it's usually better with a good companion.

Being good at things. By that I mean I like to figure out how to be good at things I enjoy and then try to actually become good at them.

My hair. It surprises me how often I hear that. In a good way. I'm also told I look a lot like Robert Downey, Jr. Maybe less so now, because I'm pretty sure only one of us has accepted nature's decision about hair color. On first impression, people generally think I'm more conservative and restrained than I really am. Once they notice my tattoos, that starts to change.

I love sushi and enjoy most cuisines. I tend to eat "healthy" food more often than not, and recently I've gotten interested in expanding my knowledge of vegan cooking. Kimchi and tofu stew with gochujang, anyone? Musical tastes - diverse. I really enjoy jazz, blues, alt country ... pretty much any kind of music played by good musicians, especially if it involves a good guitar player. I don't listen to popular music on the radio very often, for reasons that I assume are obvious. Books - I read for pleasure almost every day. Lots of magazines and non-fiction, and novels when I find one that intrigues me, e.g. "The Kings of Cool," which I recently finished. Movies - usually foreign or quirky ones, although I'm looking forward to seeing "The Avengers" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." Last movie I watched at home was "Jiro Dreams Of Sush." Loved it!

A lot of things. I'm a chronic thinker, which is both a blessing and a curse. If you're one too, you know what I mean.

Either cooking and hanging out at home, having a low key dinner out, or eating with friends at a friend's place.

I'm pretty open about most things, so it's hard to make just one admission.
