My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived my life as it's come, never a big planner. I've been an 'artist' for most of my life; meaning I draw, paint and take photographs. I don't define myself by these activities, I enjoy them. I have always worked and played hard, love the outdoors, going fast any way I can, and the company of smart, vivid people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working to get a business going closer to home. Looking for a whip-smart, physical, irreverent woman to run around with and have fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Riding bicycles, driving a car, talking, and yes, listening. My job. I can cook and know about wine.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
tall, I guess, never asked
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

W Faulkner, W Styron, J Harrison, C McCarthy, T McGuane, W Stegner, E Hemminway, J Salter, H Murakami. M Amis, T O'Brian, others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Recently enjoyed two memoirs from women, Patti Smith and Lidia Yuknavitch. Movies, ah movies, I have worked at night most of my life, hence, been missing movies, (I still prefer in the theater), I love them. I am transfixed by intense eye candy, I'll admit it. Visual intensity is a great joy. Serious movies, we'll have to see about that. Shows, I had the life affirming pleasure of seeing a number of Pina Baush pieces in their prime, starting to get a kick out of ballet, of all things. Music, I listen to all kinds of things these days, I think most of us do, the range available is crazy. I started out as a dyed- in -the-wool guitar guy, still think Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and Buddy Guy are bench marks. (Gibbons blues tunes are WAY under-appreciated) Food? This I 'get'. I can appreciate, take great joy in, anything that isn't junk. Time and place are worthy consideration here, a simple rustic brewed coffee, no barista in sight, at the top of a great view can be the magic, an espresso made by some maven in a Tokyo coffee bar playing T Monk on his crazy turntable is something.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
the kicker here is 'never', we human animals can 'do' without much
friends and family, people
lover and partner
peace and quite
exercise, preferably outdoors, like to have a bike
wonderful food, beer, wine and the people together
NYC, other great cities and the people in them
dinner parties (nearly a lost art these days)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Time; what to do with it, what's been done with it, where it's ending up. "We all love the earth, we just don't get to stay." Pithy, yes, grim, no,,,,,happy as hell to be alive. I dislike this new printing norm with only one space after a period, I think about this more than I should.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working usually, can change, see dinner party
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I listen to trashy books in the car. I'm not even a little photogenic, never have been. How do people do that?

I don't know,,,,,,if you're loving, crave the physical, irreverent, sassy, lot's of energy, good posture,,,,,,can see both sides of an issue, are calm and clear headed, in those important moments when it's needed. Like smooth skin on a tall frame.
