I am kinky, confident, and fun.

My Self-Summary

I'm a switch in more than one way; a unique blend of naughty and nice, dominant and submissive, masculine and feminine, introvert and extrovert, logical and emotional, poly and mono, gay and straight, wild and domesticated. The list goes on, but for the most part I'd say I'm a very reasonable and adaptable person.

I'm not needy. I thrive in my own company as much as I do in social settings. I can happily go years between romantic relationships. When I occasionally stumble across them, I think I'm usually able to realize their potential and give them just as many, or as few, bits of myself as they desire. I have so many different bits to give that I imagine myself to be an equally good, or bad, polyamorist as a (serial) monogamist.

First of all I believe in real life pheromones, but I also believe in OkCupid. It's such an awesome tool for capturing a sense of the underlaying spirit of a person and the only tool I know for doing so from afar. It's not about the numbers, but about using one person's limited choice of answers in relation to another's to quickly get under their skin and then gently start peeling. Lies, insecurities, and misconceptions are always so refreshingly uncovered this way.

What I’m doing with my life

I think I've acquired an almost enormous amount of good life experience already; from family, lovers, nature, and society. I've travelled our world on a slow train, on foot, on skis, and on a shoestring; out of curiosity, a sense of adventure, and for love. I'm nurturing a brilliant 12 year old daughter as proof.

I started working at 12 and have had many fun and challenging jobs in a wide variety of fields. Right now I'm enjoying an interesting ride as Complaints Officer in a large firm. I value diversity higher than perfectionism, so I foresee myself continuing to change professional fields. This way I hope my learning curve will never taper off.

Oh yeah! I went to school too. Learnt some useful stuff, but at university I felt like I was being brainwashed, so I quit. I just prefer to learn things my own way I guess; learn as I go.

I recently made a vow to stay close to my family for as long as we all live, so I guess that means I'm settled... finally. I do still travel, but you'd probably have to stay near Oslo for a while to really get to know me. I might have a couch you could crash on as you do.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm an ethical omnivore in most fields, perhaps even a connoisseur in some, but a pretty lousy artist overall.

I read a couple of novels a month on average, mostly historical fiction, some textbooks and manuals, probably a book worth of periodicals and Wikipedia articles too, and sometimes the news. Right now I'm plowing my way through some of Hamsun's more obscure works. He's an all-time favorite.

I like historical drama on the screens too. Add some adventure, emotions, sensuality, great music, sympathetic actors, and we have a hit. I watch a handful of films per week, but no TV.

On average I listen to about equal amounts of jazz, classical, and rock, including some world music, 5-10 new albums a week, constantly evolving. I play a little guitar and recorders, but only for my own amusement.

I cook, eat, and play with food. I adore raw, healthy ingredients, large, sharp kitchen knives, and a great variety of herbs and spices. Add a nice complementary bottle of wine and something sensual for dessert and I'm in heaven already. My staple diet consists of grains, fruit, vegetables, and water... mostly. They make me taste, smell, and feel nice.

Although having at least a few denominations in common is good for getting along, I usually hold nothing against people who like my dislikes or vice versa.

The six things I could never do without

1. fairness and straightforwardness of conduct
2. firm adherence to a code of moral values
3. the conscious use of skill and creative imagination
4. participation in events as a basis of knowledge
5. undertakings involving danger and unknown risks
6. the external world in its entirety
