I am Respectful, Honest, Dedicated, and Intelligent.

My Self-Summary

I am Curt.

I read a lot of people say they are looking for the right person. I too am looking for the right person. I cannot say that I am the right person for you as that is a decision you make for yourself, but I will certainly see what I can do. I am not a fan of arguing/fighting. Sometimes it may need to happen but I think it can be avoided.

I am old fashioned. I like to keep things simple but at the same time, I can work myself out of a difficult situation when they arise. Traveling is among the things I do a lot. I like going to see movies but not when the theater is jam packed. I had a bad experience at a crowded theater once which ended up ruining the movie for me. I like finding new restaurants. I found a little breakfast diner in Heber City that is very tasty and have no problems driving the 45 minutes to get there just to have a non manufactured breakfast. So If I can drive 45 minutes for biscuits and gravy, imagine what else I can do. I also like to play video games. I am NOT into online computer games. I have an xbox 360, but I don't play it all day everyday.

What I’m doing with my life

I currently work for a nationwide production company. I also work in Information Technology. I am one of the few in my company that travels the world installing networks in hotels and convention centers. I like my friends, I love my family. All in all, I live for the moment.

I’m really good at

I am good at what I do for work. I am good at cooking, I experiment a lot on my own and determine what can be presented as delicious and edible. If it sucks the first time, then I perfect it. I tried to make a country gravy once. It was so bad, my dogs wouldn't even eat it. The second time around was much better. I am very good at communication. I believe that communication is a primary key to just about everything. Failure to communicate leads to ultimate destruction. This is true when looking at relationships. Since communication needs to work both ways, once one person stops, the relationship begins to fall apart.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I am balding... People tell me this as if I didn't know it. OK I got hit with the double whammy in the gene pool, BOTH my grandfathers were bald. So guess what? I've lost most of my hair and it doesn't really bother me. So If you are looking for someone with thick lusturious hair for you to run your fingers through, let me know and I will run out and pick up a Don King wig or a hair do from an 80's rock band.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, Brother Odd, Odd Hours, In Odd We Trust. All written by Dean Koontz. I am not a Dean Koontz fan, just these specific books were very interesting to read.

Movies. I am not in to comedies. There seems to be 3 comedy movies that come out for every drama, or action film. I will watch the comedies at home but not at a theater. They would have to make me roll in the popcorn on the floor laughing for me to see it in the theater. Austin Powers was one of them. Chick flicks can be good if I can get someone of the opposite gender to go.

Food. I do not like sea food. I hear everyone tell me, "Have you tried this or that?" I have tried all kinds of things that live in lakes or the sea and the only thing that I have found to enjoy is Halibut when it is cooked correctly. And I can only find that at specific 5 star restaurants in Cities such as Boston or Seattle. I will eat sushi, but again, if it has that distinctive fishy taste to it, i will not eat it. Thia food, had a bad experience with some sticks being in a soup that I ordered and the fact that I couldn't choke them down. But everything else seems to be ok. I am ok with you being a vegetarian as long as you are ok with me not being one. I will certainly respect the fact if you are and I will always accommodate you.

The six things I could never do without

In no particular order:

The interweb, such a vast sea of information and endless possibilities.
A mode of transportation. I have two vehicles.
My family even if some live in other states. It gives me somewhere to go.
My friends, there are some I would trust with my life
A place to call home.
My dogs, they are the sweetest of animals.
A job that I enjoy. I will never work a day in my life.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Ways to further educate myself. I think about stupid things. I think about what I want to do with the up coming year. Sometimes I think about why I think about these things.

I spend a lot of time laughing about the year 2012 and all the people who actually believe the end of humanity/world is going to happen all because some Mayan day planner is ending. It turns out, there's another one ending in 2048. Like the calendar on my blackberry and all other calendars, they make no predictions so the odds of a galactic fart or some other Earth changing event happening on 2012 is the same as tomorrow. I even came up with my own algorithm that gives a date based on our own Gregorian calendar. What will happen? Maybe I will have a dentist appointment.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home usually. I will go out if something fun arises. Bars and clubs are fun to go to but drinking seems to becoming more and more expensive. $3-4 for a beer is ok but paying $6-10 for a mixed drink and then it's gone before you get back to your table isn't right. I keep my bars at home stocked well anyways. Wendover can be fun. Last time I lost a few hundred bucks and got a speeding ticket. But who cares, I had a good time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Other than I have a birthmark in a strange place I admit to nothing.

You should message me if

you want to talk. If you want to get to know me more. If you want to go get some coffee, see a movie, or walk through a mall somewhere. I believe in friendship, dating, commitments, marriage, settling down. The last three need to be with the right person. Think your it? Let me know... As I've said before, I read a lot of people who say "Why can't I find a decent guy?" I like to consider myself to be one of those few. So you should message me if that is who you are looking for.
