My self-summary
Aspiring Social Entrepreneur, Technology Specialist, Dreamer, Friend, Connector, Meetup Organizer. My aim is to make a change in the world of education & technology.

I've gone hiking once a week for the past 4 weeks, it's feels amazing to get out when the weather is nice!

I like to learn something new each day. I'm an information sponge!

I'm heading to Boulder, CO for a bit, then off to Europe for a month! Whoo!!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm the guy that paints the little 'm's on m&ms. Sometimes when no one is looking, I'll paint a 'w'. Crazy, I know. I hope no one with OCD gets one of my bags.

I'm actually an IT Manager for an NGO. I love my job! The mission, the people, and the environment!

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I have a vision as to who I want to be later in life. My aspirations will hopefully lead me to many adventures.
I’m really good at
working with electronics. I can take apart a remote control and almost put it back together. They always put extra parts in those things anyway.

Oh, meetups. I organize meetups for the Northern VA subreddit. It took me a while to realize that I do it not just to meet new people, but rather to connect people. I've seen great friendships form over Bowling, Movies, Hiking, Karaoke, and Dinner, among other things.

Also, Karaoke!! I go at least 2 times a month. I am exceptionally great at this in my own mind. I get compliments, but mostly I just like to bust a move while singing to make others laugh and have a good time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:

This one is tough, but I'll go for it. Let's count them off
-Index Finger - Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, I just love this book
-Middle Finger - Harry Potter Series, because who doesn't love HP?
-Ring Finger - The Alchemist & Ishmael, they really made me think. I reflected a lot on my life after reading those.
-Pinky - Getting Things Done, Switch, & Predictably Irrational, had to get my non-fiction in.
-Thumb - American Gods, it really caught my attentions. I Loved this book.
-Dishonorable mention - Dan Brown books.... shh... I, I know, I know. I read them in high school and still read the new ones as they come out.

Movies:

You know those damn Pixar movies that almost make you cry? I love those. Also, my favorites are "Departures", which is a great Japanese movie with an amazing score and "Amelie", a fun French movie with a great soundtrack.
I'm adding August Rush, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, (500) Days of Summer, Inception, oh and Miyazaki Films, of course, how could I leave those out?

Edit: The Intouchables, V for Vendetta, The Princess Bride, Good Will Hunting, The Social Network, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory (1971), The Iron Giant, How to Train Your Dragon, Miracle in Cell No. 7 (7번방의 선물), A Werewolf Boy (늑대소년)

Music:

I really like Korean music. Mainly indie Korean groups. Non-indie include: Clazziquai, Big Bang, Taeyang, G-Dragon, Yiruma, 2NE1, Nell, Wonder Girls, Alex Chu, Girls Generation, Psy, BoA.

The rest of my music is a mixed bag of John Mayer, Paramore, Jason Mraz, Goo Goo Dolls, One Republic, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Ne-yo, Coldplay, Linkin Park, John Legend, Maroon 5, Michael Buble, Camila, David Bisbal, Carlos Santana, Mana, Juanes, and Alex Ubago.

Oh and definitely my man JT.

Food:
Italian and Japanese? I can make a really nice bento. It usually includes rice, meat, eggs, and whatever else I can cook up.

Korean food is also amazing, but I still can not stand Kimchi. Don't give that look, I just don't like it.

Lastly Mexican food, and I mean real Mexican food, none of the Taco Bell shit (though in their defense, it's not all bad). In the summers, my dad and I would always make steak fajitas with quality meat and allow the family to customize their own burrito/taco/etc, We'd also make some other things like small quesadillas on the side and a Coke from Mexico to wash it all down. Now that's a REAL Mexican meal.

Which reminds me, I need to go buy some Queso de Oaxaca.
*Update* I bought the Queso! And I found a Mexican Coke!

Web Comics: Questionable Content, XKCD, Sinfest, Least I Could Do, and a couple of other Witty Comics that I like to read.

I forgot TV Shows!:
Aside from a few K-Dramas/anime, House of Cards, HIMYM, Suits, Parts and Recs, The Office, QI, The IT crowd, 8 out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Whose Line Is It Anyway (US), Would I Lie to You?, Breaking Bad

I would love to get into Dr. Who, Sherlock, and Game of Thrones, if I had the time.
The six things I could never do without
Laptop - cloud services help assuage this, but then makes the next item necessary.

Phone - I've proven this. Went on a hike and forgot the map...we ended up walking ~22 miles before we managed to find the car.

An everlasting sense of curiosity: Observation, Learning, Teaching

My Car - I can make it work without a car, sort of, but I would need it to see my family. Plus, I like getting lost driving and ending up at some interesting place.

Reddit - I know, I know, but I actually am active in some communities and take advantage of gaining/applying knowlege.

Music - I like to sing. I like to listen to music while working, cleaning, running, and generally doing nothing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
setting aside some time to find hidden gems in the area. From Hiking trails, to reading spots, to places to nap in the middle of a beautiful spring day.
On a typical Friday night I am
- running my fingers along the bindings of books that line the walls of a used book store;

- enjoying a beer and a immersing myself in a movie at E Street Cinema;

- eating a Nutella crepe on the stairs of the National Portrait Gallery;

- playing Civ V;

- singing karaoke to one of the following [Toxic, Mr. Brightside, Crazy in Love, Fantastic Baby, Somebody to Love]

- hosting a meet up with local Redditors in Fairfax, Reston, Manassas or Arlington.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57dzaMaouXA makes me want to use physical hashtags. My brothers and I do it every now and then. #Isitworthitletmeworkit.

You have an answer to this question: If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why?
