I am funny, honest, and caring.

My Self-Summary

I am a father of the most wonderful little girl in the world...The weekends I spend with her are just our time. However, that leaves me with a great deal of free time that I would like to find a good friend to share it with. (Her mother is a wonderful person, but it did not work out between us. We are separated, but both very much want a divorce.) I am very content with all aspects of my life...I do not need anyone or anything...I am however looking for someone to enjoy life with.

What I’m doing with my life

I am a Special Education teacher at a local high school. I have spent 11 years teaching special education and I love it. I can honestly say I may have one of the best jobs in the world...and the pay and the hours aren't too shabby either. It does give me a great deal of free time and I really only spend every other weekend with my little one...leaves me with time that I would like to share with the right person.

I’m really good at

being a father, teaching, working with my hands, listening to others, helping people...

The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes. Or so I have been told. Once they talk to me, most people notice that I am funny.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music first as it is on thing I couldn't live without: love Dylan, Drive By Truckers, James McMurtry, Del Amitri, Garcia/Dead, Neil Young, Warren Zevon, Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, the Surreal McCoys, many, many others.

Books: My Name is Asher Lev, by Chaim Potok; Mother Night and Bluebeard by Vonnegut; High Fidelity by Nick Hornby...I also enjoy lighter stuff like Dennis Lehane or Harlen Coben...Like fantasy...David Eddings and Robert Jordan

The six things I could never do without

1. My daughter
2. Music
3. Love
4. Having a job I love
5. My ipod/phone
6. Air then water then food then a cold pillow

I spend a lot of time thinking about

my daughter and what she will be like when she grows up and what the world she lives in will be like and if it will be a better place.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either out with a new friend...or reading to my daughter and tucking her into bed...depends on the weekend. Either one is great, but I know which is more important to me right now.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I cried watching Bambi with my daughter...refused to watch Old Yeller all together already know how that one turns out.

You should message me if

you are interested in meeting a person who is happy and secure and has all of their stuff together.

I also expect the same.

I will treat anyone I meet on here with respect and kindness. I will not mistreat you. If you are in to that sort of thing or have series issues that cause you to push away, not going to judge you, just won't be interested.
