My self-summary
Things about me; I earn a living as a therapist working with severely traumatized children who live in foster placements and group homes and I run a foster care department in the East Bay for the agency am employed by. My job can be stressful so when not working I take full advantage of my off time. I enjoy travel and exploration, learning about different cultures, the performing arts (especially musical theatre), long drives listening to music, NPR weekend schedule (This American Life, Wait Wait, Car Talk, Prairie Home Companion), watching movies (although I'm rather selective of what I watch), keeping in shape (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually) exploring mindfulness, reading and doing what I can to help others. I do believe we can create a world where everyone wins. Plus a couple weekends ago I figured out how to save the world from the 1%, not bad for a night's work of deep contemplation.
What I’m doing with my life
Perusing Groupon to find new fun things to do; looking for an adventurous partner to explore with.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Movies: Baraka, Waking Life, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, Monsoon Wedding, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Somewhere in Time, One Week, The Girl In The Cafe, I Heart Huckabees, Salaam-E-Ishq, Joy Luck Club, Samsara, Better off Dead
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Nelson Mandela's quote, "Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom".

I'm constantly wondering what can I do to be "great". I don't mean "great" in the narcissistic sense of the word or the me-first mentality that has come to define Westernism. I think of "great" in terms of how can I be useful and make a positive contribution in the world while working toward creating a world where everyone wins.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a Goldfish Cracker addict! If you put a box of Cheez-Its in front of me, stand way back, I cannot be responsible for what happens...:)

You view relationship as a path to continued growth, healing, mindfulness and consciousness. You know relationships take work, dedication and trust but you also know relationships should be growth-oriented, fun, exciting, adventurous and fun (did I say fun twice)?

Life is more enriching, more fulfilling when it is shared with someone special. Let's be that for each other. Let's save each other from the endless parade of dating, and focus on building a healthy, fun, exciting, adventurous and romantic life together.
