I have been to four weddings in the last three months and each one makes me realize more and more how much I don't want to be single any longer. Watching couples together, being there for one another, working together, sharing glaces, taking turns caring for the children, all this reaffirms to me what is truly important in life; relationship. I want a partner who values relationship, and who wants to grow old together co-creating a joy-filled and healthy life together
About me; I earn a living as a therapist working with severely traumatized children who live in group homes and I run a foster care department in for the agency I am employed by. My job can be stressful so when not working I take full advantage of my off time. I enjoy travel and exploration, learning about different cultures (currently fascinated with India), the performing arts (especially musical theatre.... No day But Today), long drives with the windows down listening to music, the NPR weekend schedule (This American Life, Wait Wait, Car Talk, Prairie Home Companion, Radio Lab), watching movies (although I'm rather selective of what I watch), keeping in shape (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually) exploring mindfulness and eastern wisdom, reading, and doing what I can to help others. I do believe we can create a world where everyone wins. Plus a couple weekends ago I figured out how to save the world from the "1%". It's actually quite simple, just a slight shift of paradigm perspective. Not bad for a night's work of deep contemplation.
