My (slight?) accent?
You tell me.
However, if it's available, I prefer Kafka, Heinlein, Clarke or Astrid Lindgren (The Brothers Lionheart). I enjoy reading Steinbeck, Joyce and good old 1930-1970's old French and English "romans policiers", especially those by Boileau-Narcejac (L'ingenieur Aimait Bien Les Chiffres, Diabolique...Six Morts Sans Assassins). On my list are also Tom Robbins (Jitterbug perfume's great), Christian Signol and Malraux, and of course Richard Feynman. I believe I own every single book by the guy.
I also have tons of science-related books, from old courses but also gained one way or another throughout the years...
Movies: Clockwork Orange, Fear & Loathing, the old James Bonds (they're at times so bad it's fun to pick apart - the new ones with Craig are nice), Lawrence of Arabia, Dr Zhivago (had to put a true classic in there), Beowulf & Avatar...etc...I'll watch pretty much anything, twice, however bad. I won't watch Zardoz ever again, though.
Music: played the cello 5 years as a kid, enjoyed it then; now though, my preferences have changed tend to gravitate towards relatively unknown electronic genres and groups such as true Drum and Bass: Ram Trilogy, Dom & Roland, Shimon, Liquid Fusion or Konflict Therapy - not of that Dubstep crap for me, thanks, Spiral Tribe-FKY-Banditos- and such similar "tribe" music (...that's just a genre) , or more experimental stuff (ex: Jean-Jacques Perrey with "Chronophonie" , Jazz (Benny Golson, Wayne Shorter...) and some Classic Rock (Queen and Aerosmith...Iron Maiden). Always willing to be introduced to new things in musique, though...
As for food, I'm always on the lookout for trying new things and new tastes. I love spices, not so much sweets.
In no particular order:
- Satisfaction at work, at home
- Going for walks/jogg on dirt country roads
- Time on my own (goes with the above)
- Nice friends (don't we all?)
- Spicy foods
Depends, eh? What's typical, really.
