Half my life has flown-by in a short sixty years. I’m very fit and try to live a healthy life. My Divorce was decreed 60-months ago, I live alone in a huge house in the center of a small town in which I like to keep a low-profile and have my privacy.

I own my own home with a small mortgage, also the building adjacent to mine with no mortgage. It is a huge house, not the plateau of the American dream of owning a large home … a building on the National Register-of-Historic Places. It’s a work in progress I will complete and put in my rear-view … hopefully soon. An albatross to soon fly ! .... Sooooon !

There is a giant kitchen … I love to cook, no-fear ! I also run a mean grill ! … but have even less fear of dining-out ! I’ve three working fireplaces and a nice wood-stove … but would gladly dig a hole in the lawn for a proper fire for the right lady !

Although I do not attend church on a regular basis, I consider myself a Unitarian. Mine is a deep belief that we are all free to do as we please if it can be done in a kind way without injury or burden to anyone else. Without a healthy, well-rounded approach, you can’t help yourself and if you can't handle your own affairs, you can’t be expected to help anyone else.

Thirty years ago, I walked the land like a giant, independent, confident always prevailing. In the last decades, I’ve made my most important strides forward, learning tolerance, humility and acceptance. The farther you go the less you know … you just try to do the very best you can !

I like ( love ) spontaneous ! We were stopped for coffee and a bite last week, waiting to be served .. asked by the attendant … “are you ready” … everyone ( including the attendant ) laughed when I fired right back … “ I’m always ready ! “

Read constantly, have a huge library, mostly history and science .. been reading "Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk" ... read many Mags and Periodicals.

My favorite films are Moby-Dick ( Peck ), 12-O’Clock-High, Jaws, Last of the Mohicans, Casablanca ( any Bogart film ), the Purple-Plain and the Town ( any film shot in Boston ), Blade-Runner. I love watching almost any type of film.

Love to listen to music ... Clapton, Knopfler, Vaughan-Williams, Grieg, Taj-Mahal, Hendrix, Townsend. Enjoy any type of live performance ... music, stage ... anything that's fun.

FOOD ... who said food ? ... love FISH, Seafood, FISH, Seafood, FISH and should also mention Seafood ! .... I love to grill ... if it can be made soft enough to chew or small enough to swallow, I can grill it !

Love and romance ( a Companion to complete me ) We can do without just about everything else !

I spent five years ( five-winters ) on Nantucket. It was bliss. The air so clean. Scooping handfuls of sea-water … the taste was sweet and pure. The way to travel on the ocean is to feel the pulse and be able to step-out to feel and taste the spray. To me, it was one of the most beautiful places on the planet ! Think of it often !

My life is very independent ... normally wouldn't do something on a Friday night I would't be flexible enough to do on any other night ... with the exception of Friday ... when Fringe is on !

I'll admit ... private is private ! I am very discrete, both trustworthy and trusted ! Secrets are secrets for a reason ... you'll need more than a car battery and/or season tickets to make me tell !

I try not to take myself to seriously but hope you’ll find me sincere. If we meet and there’s no spark .. not to worry. I don’t know anyone that has too many friends. I’m hoping that the time we live-in hasn’t precluded two people from meeting and simply enjoying chatting, a movie, a meal or a walk down a new road.
