My self-summary
Spontaneous and Passionate are not words generally associated with me. I have been described as notoriously shy. How I gained such notoriety while avoiding the limelight is beyond me. I am very much a stay at home type of person who yearns to be coaxed out. I enjoy 420 and other laid back activities. I have a very broad sense of humor that ranges from fairly dry to silly.

Rosespinner28 recently informed me that I am a geek. This was a surprise to me because most geeks make me feel like I am not cool enough to hang out with them. She also told me I no longer look like I live in my parents basement. For the record, I do not live in my parents basement. I live in my friends basement.

When I was younger I dreamed about growing up to be the creepy old man that all the neighborhood children are afraid of. Now that I have accomplished this dream, I am uncertain about what to do next.

I have clumsy hands. I did not learn to tie my shoes until age 6 and did not tie them well until age 21.

Communication is very important to me. I like to know what the people around me are thinking and feeling. I also like them to know what I am thinking and feeling and can be quick to share. I have a tendency to share to much personal info before most people think it is appropriate. I am working on this.

I enjoy Role-playing games, Board games Video Games and Card Games. Why I did not know I was geek is beyond me. I guess I had settled for weirdo.

I am Poly friendly. I can commit to a monogamous relationship fully and enjoy it. I have never had more than one love, I just know I can be happy for someone I love if she loves another as well. I am open and would enjoy having more than one love, but I do not feel trapped by Monogamy.

I am considerate, compassionate, and fairly odd
What I’m doing with my life
Tying my shoes.

I have been going through a lot lately. It is all good though. Lots of personal growth.

I want to get back into learning Tango. For it to be practical financially I want a partner willing to practice outside of class as it is difficult for me to get to public scenes alone.
I’m really good at
I am pretty adept at slinging bull. I am an excellent listener and a passable cook. I am a very talented singer. I am an excellent caregiver. I have been told I give excellent back rubs. I Excel at pushing jokes to far. I am pretty good at tying my shoes.
The first things people usually notice about me
An ongoing poll of random people on the street seems to indicate that the first thing people notice about me is that I am someone to walk away from at a rather brisk pace.

My shoes are tied.

I do not look like a person who lives in a basement ?

The first impression most people get is that I am quiet, soft spoken well mannered and a bit shy. Once I get comfortable with someone I can be loquacious, silly, and bizarre.

I adore shoe string potatoes. I enjoy trying new foods. I prefer food I cook for myself over food from restaurants. Still the Bachelor staple of take out Chinese and pizza is a god send.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Years ago, when I first began working in nursing homes, one of the residents I took care of was a stroke victim who had a number of quirky stroke related personality tics. First of all her vocabulary had been reduced to one word, That word was "Fuck". Secondly she walked with a cane. (alright, I know walking with a cane is neither quirky nor a personality tic. Still it was stroke related and important to this story so quit picking nits and just enjoy yourself.) The third was a maniacal desire for absolute perfection. Her proclivity to perfection included how her shoes were to be tied. They had to be double bowed and all the bows of equal size and shape. So, I found myself, one of the top 10 worst shoe tiers in all of space time, forced to perfect the art while an old woman beat me with a cane and yelled, "fuck!!", over and over again. These days I have let my skills degrade a bit, but I can still do a damn good job of tying my shoes.

I am socially awkward. It is not hopeless, I just need lots of practice and perhaps a tutor for social situations.

I believe laundromats are magical places.
