I'm just a guy who sometimes thinks too much, has arty tendencies and a slightly sardonic sense of humour.

Despite my best efforts to come off as worldly and sophisticated deep down I'm really just a geek, but hopefully a loveable geek.

I'm not really into "the scene", I have an aversion to "drama" and I've come to realize that I'm after quality over quantity. Having said that I am definitely fun-loving and enjoy going out.

I'm an avid foodie (and love the fact that "Strictly Anything" is a choice for Diet in the profile details section). I love going on "foodie adventures" to find new foods to try, I enjoy cooking and wining & dining is a regular activity for me.

I love to travel and I'm passionate about the performing arts; theatre, dance, music, etc. and love going to cultural events.

I love to laugh and I enjoy the company of interesting people and engaging conversation.

I'm a bit shy at first but I'm definitely friendly and deep down inside I'm hopelessly romantic.

I'm a writer/editor and work in communications. I recently moved to Toronto for new career opportunities and to take advantage of the variety of art, culture and society that this city has to offer.

. . . being self-effacing to the point where I'm too modest to publicly finish this statement.

However, I'm told by others that I'm bright, witty and have a great sense of humour. Oh, and I do a mean karaoke rendition of "My Way".

... my aura of mystery.

Or my smile; I flash it a lot and have big, goofy dimples.

In no particular order:

Well, aside from the usual thing guys spend most of their time thinking about *wink* being a foodie a large proportion of my mental cycles is spent deciding what I want to eat, what new dish I want to try to make and the zen of flavour.

I'm not a complete Hedonismbot though, I do read and think about serious issues too.

. . .snorting lines with the other disaffected nouveau-riche in the back room of the newest bar in the Entertainment district. :P

Other than that I'm usually going out to try a new restaurant, seeing a show, grabbing a few drinks with friends, kicking back and having a good time . . . or more often than not cooking dinner and curling up with a book or a movie for a low-key evening at home.

I love musical theatre and secretly wish that people would randomly break out into song-and-dance production numbers in real-life.

Also, I just discovered that Kobo is an anagram for "book", either that's really clever or I'm just really slow.

Seriously though, I'm open to meeting all types of new people, feel free to drop me a message if you're well-grounded, share some of the same interests, reasonably sane and have a great personality and sense of humour.

I don't necessarily have a "type" I go for exclusively and am pretty open but it's a big bonus if you're sweet and can make me laugh 'cause I'm the same way.
