I love dancing Salsa, reading and writing poetry, learning new things, and encouraging others with their dreams. I am a very private person, dislike the presence of mean people, admire true humility, appreciate chivalry, and love to laugh (though I suck at telling jokes.) I am a bit shy at reaching out, so if I send you a message, it has taken a great deal of courage! Please respond with at least a "No thanks."

-working way too much purely out of necessity (teaching and nursing), dancing Salsa as often as I can, raising teenagers, and writing novels (YA fiction - none published yet).

-teaching teenagers, calming crazy people, dancing Salsa, finding random passages in the Bible (long story), removing splinters, untangling knots, making lists, whistling tunes, and remaining calm in a crisis.

-my big boobs and my calm unruffled exterior.

books - anything by David Sedaris, Anne Lamott, or Martha Beck; movies - Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Amelie, Nacho Libre; music - easy listening, etc.; food - currently a vegetarian, but have no problem with what others eat.

-air conditioning, Ibuprofin, hope, paper, pen, a comfortable bed. (Not really, but these items are definitely a part of my daily life.)

-my family, Salsa dancing, novel and story ideas, ways to help my students that I teach, and my concept of GOD.

-dancing Salsa or sleeping.

-I tear up when I see film of space shuttle count downs/lift offs as well as convoys of military vehicles or school buses. I have no idea why.

-you have a full, happy life, but would like to share yourself with me.
-you are the kind of person who stoops to pick up a piece of trash from the ground.
-you talk to kids like they are people / have been known to have a heated debate with a four-year-old.
-you care more about the interior landscape of a person than the exterior.
