I am affectionate, open minded, and a little bit shy.
My Self-Summary
Hi, I'm Wendy (clearly). At the moment I live in leafy green
Emerald (the Dandenongs) where I am attempting to start my own art
and crafts business. It's going pretty slowly, but I'm enjoying
life anyway. Truth be known I think I'm turning into a bit of a
hippie. So anyway, I'm country girl born and raised (cheesy but
true). I live with a friend I met living in Port Fairy and her
little toddler, and we have a blast.
Okay, what next... I have many interests that I always wished I had
more time for when I was working as a teacher, and you would think
that working for myself I would be able to make time, but you'd be
surprised. There's always something else to do. Anyway, those
interests are reading, writing, playing music, I could go into more
detail here but that would make this excessively boring reading,
and besides, if I did, what would there be to talk about if we were
ever to meet?
What I’m doing with my life
As I've said, I'm starting an arts and crafts business. Mostly I
make kids' toys and accessories, and a few gifty sorts of things,
and i go around to the local markets selling them. At the moment
it's going rather slowly, and I think it's mainly because my
organisational skills leave something to be desired (heaven forbid
I should have to make phonecalls! I hate making official
phonecalls!), but things are definitely improving.
So what else... I have some awesome plans for what I want to do in
the future. I want to travel, and do some more learning, all of
which I need to save money for. Ho hum. Some day :)
I’m really good at
I think I can be rather creative and
artistic when I'm given the right
inspiration. I'm a good listener, and I'm open minded.
The first things people usually notice about me
The very first thing would be that I smile a lot.
Other things might be that I'm quiet, especially to begin with but
when I do chat, I have a good sense of humour.
With regard to appearance I'm going to be really predictable and
say very blue eyes, brown hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books first eh? Just
finished
Diana
Gabaldon's 'Outlander' series which has to be my favourite. Bit
of history, bit of romance, bit of fantasy. Perfect. Corey
Daniells' 'The Shadow Kingdom'. Catherine Jinks' 'Pagan' series.
It's a teenagers' read, but I read it in high school, and I've read
it several times since. Paulina Simons' 'Tully'. There is of course
the 'Harry Potter' series. Loved 'Jane Eyre', And I've always
wanted to read the Jane Austen classics, and 'North and South', and
of course J.R.R Tolkein's books, though I suppose that doesn't mean
they'll be favourites yet does it?
Movies! Well I
have too many favourites to pick any special ones out, and I have
very broad taste, from 'Mary Poppins' to 'The Exorcism' but I do
have to say that sometimes you need a no-brainer romantic comedy to
chill out in front of.
Music! Love it. I'm very rarely found in a silent atmosphere. Also
have very broad taste in music. All time favourite artist:
Billy Joel.
After that, there are many to choose from. Jeff Buckley, John
Mayer, Sarah Brightman, Foo Fighters (I can't believe I put those
two next to each other), Elton John, Van Morrison, Sting, Sarah
Bareilles, the Presets the list goes on...
Food: I am big on European food because I've been raised on it. My
grandmother is German/Czech. Also like experimenting with some
Asian food. And of course, you can't go wrong with chocolate. I
should mention, however, that I've recently become vegetarian, and
since then I am loving food even more, surprisingly enough.
Definitely no going back.
The six things I could never do without
1.
Family! I love
them. Simple as that. We're very close knit.
2. Girlfriends. Need to spend some time with them every now and
then. Chill out. Have some girl time.
3. Chill out time. It used to be time to relax after work, but even
when I don't work I just need time when I do nothing. To relax.
Otherwise I wear myself out by the end of the week. End up getting
sick. (Sook that I am, lol!)
4
Pets. They're
excellent company. Though a little bit of a hassle when you want to
go on holidays... I miss my dog. He stays with my mum now because
they wouldn't let us have pets here. :(
5.
Music. I need
sound. Can't stand silence! Makes me uncomfortable.
6.
Food. As much as I
try not to be, I am a food lover.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where to go from here? So many options I don't know where to start!
On a typical Friday night I am
Sadly enough, I'll be at home crafting or watching the Friday night
movie (if there is one). Or, if my sister comes to visit, maybe
I'll go visit my sister and watch a movie with her.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Well that would ruin it for later wouldn't it?
You should message me if
Basically if you like my profile and you are looking for either
friendship or dating (I'm not into the casual thing).
