I am kind, humorous, and generous.

My Self-Summary

I live in North Buffalo, well educated, and have a stable job. I am comfortable being single but if I could find someone who was interesting, kind, funny, and willing to equally share her life, I would love to meet her. If that is you, please say hello!

What I’m doing with my life

Professionally, I am an urban educator of history. I love teaching and wouldnt trade it for the world!

I enjoy travel, reading (books, newspapers, magazines), sports, my dogs (the lovingest 2 dogs in the world), having fun, and keeping busy. I dont understand people who constantly say they are bored. You have to seize your opportunities when they come.

On a side note, I am working on my first book. I have a number of false starts, but the goal is to have it on the printing press within the year!

I’m really good at

I think I am a pretty good writer (hence the desire to write the book).
I am told that I am a good teacher (certainly hope I am).
I think that I am a pretty funny guy.
I try to be generous, especially to those closest to me.
I think I can be pretty persuasive when I want to be.
I am really good at keeping promises.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile. Some of my former students nicknamed me Kool Aid because of my big grin!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: mostly historical. My favorite authors are Doris Kearns Goodwin and David McCollough

Movies: action, comedy, and drama. Favorites include Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Smith, Mel Brooks, Al Pacino, and Robert DeNiro

Music: Rock from the 60's-90's. Enjoy everything from The Beatles to Ozzy to Kid Rock.

Food: seafood, italian, chinese, steak

The six things I could never do without

my dogs
my house
my family (I dont have children, but I am very close with my immediate family)
my friends
sense of humor
newspapers
internet

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think about a lot of different things. Sometimes it is political, sometimes philosophical, sometimes it is sports, sometimes it is work, sometimes I am just thinking about the oddities of life that amuse me. I do crack me up sometimes!

On a typical Friday night I am

Whatever happens happens. Sometimes I will go out with friends, sometimes stay in. Depends on how the work week is and what my options are. Gotta be flexible, right?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

It would no longer be private then, would it?! Dont worry, if I trust you, I am generally willing to open up pretty quickly.
