Hey everyone, I'm Joe. I'm twenty four. I guess people usually describe me as being clever, weird, funny. I'd like to use the word eccentric to describe me, but eccentric in a good way as opposed to the creepy eccentric guy that no one likes. :) I like girls that are logical, abstract, and smart. I am not particularly level headed, so it is good to have a girl around that makes up for it. Someone that can put my drama into perspective. Which is odd because usually it is the opposite. At the same time, I don't want someone that is controlling or bossy because I am pretty tough, and I do not like to be dominated. I don't like to dominate either. I shoot for equality in relationships where we allow our strengths to build each other up, and make up for each other's weaknesses.

I am pretty thin, and girls that like big beefy dudes probably wouldn't be attracted to me. I am not very tall either. Maybe looking for someone about 5'6".

I like hiking, running, (sometimes) and boxing. I like to stay in shape, and become sort of depressed if I don't get enough exercise. Adventure is good for the soul, and while I am not really serious about the outdoors, I am a great person to take on a backpacking trip or a climb of a mountain.

I don't like to talk about my feelings, but I am a good listener, and a good talker. I want to meet someone that is sort of intellectual. Sort of intellectual is a good way to describe me. However, unlike most intellectuals, I love having my views challenged so that I can argue with people. Its great.

I am a volunteer coordinator for Multicultural Community Services. I look for volunteers, write grants, and do outreach for the agency. In my spare time, I am in a band that is called "The Whales From Heck" We aren't any good yet, but its fun anyways, sort of like sex and golf. I sing, play guitar, play drums, play bass, and write songs.

I am really good at writing songs, playing guitar, listening, and helping people get over traumatic events. I am also good at staying cool in times of crisis, and being in the outdoors although fortunately, the times of crisis haven't coincided with me being in the outdoors as of yet.

People notice my half smile/smirk which comes from the fact that I have naturally upturned lips, and my half closed eyes which make me look a little bit high. I'm not, but I am prone to discussions that people have when they're high. Maybe you like those sorts of discussions, maybe you should message me!

Movies: I am not the sort of person that hates movies easily. I have found that the site "Rotten Tomatoes" gets me pretty well, even though it is an internet site and no one who works there has ever met me. My favorite movies include: Snatch, Sleeper, Manhattan, The Graduate, Commando, 70's/80's Sci Fi and fantasy b movies, The Dark Knight, Pineapple Express...etc.

music:
I like anything that hurts to listen to a little bit. It is very very rare that a pop song really catches my attention, unless it is just unabashedly pop, and not trying to be cool at all. Iggy Pop and the Stooge's Album, raw power, Ice Cube, Operation Ivy, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Weezer, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighter's first album, Too Short...

I could do without almost anything, except for music and friends.
