My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd rather see the world than buy a new car, I try to live without credit and pay for things up front, spent 10 years with the the music industry, 8 of those years overlapped military service, 6 of those years overlapped college.

I like to spend most of my free time doing something active it doesn't matter what really, from canoeing and camping to going to a show or throwing dinner parties. I'm not much on watching tv, or just vegging.

I also love lower Decatur st. in New Orleans, it is sort of where I grew up, I've watched the sun rise from there more than probably anywhere else. I've always loved that even in the heart of New Orleans, there are certain places that feel like a neighborhood bar.

Its simple really, you want to laugh, enjoy life, explore the world around us. Me too, I am doing those things as much as possible and am in search of someone who I can share the experiences with and build a lasting and meaningful future. Or at least some horrible dates that I will use as source material for a book on dating I keep promising to write.

This category has been re-designated as one of the first things you should notice about me and with that, I have prepared a quote from a brilliant piece for you. Though for full effect, see entirety at (

"We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in:
machinery that gives abundance has left us in want.
Our knowledge has made us cynical,
our cleverness hard and unkind.
We think too much and feel too little:
More than machinery we need humanity;
More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.

Netflix and Hulu are my cable, I'm always watching something, Ken Burns documentaries, Miyazaki animated movies, the good old action flick, cheesy comedies, romances, whatever, really. If there is a Zombie in it, I've probably seen it also. (and figured out how I would have made it out alive)

Music: Rave Music (edm), Edith Piaf, Le Tigre, Regina Spektor,

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I honestly don't believe aside from things that are required to survive that there is anything I couldn't live without, we adapt, we overcome.

That said, I do love energy drinks, and A/C...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I am almost always thinking of ways to integrate technology into things, to better the lives of those around me. Or thinking how I can marshal technology through green power generation, and power consumption reduction to allow me to one day to live completely independent of a larger infrastructure.

I also have been thinking a lot lately about switching to the non-profit sector, or opening a series hostels catering to telecommuters in different parts of the world.

And where I left my keys...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually I'm doing my best to have a good time by any of the following means: Board Game nights, Camping Trips, NetFlix, Hanging out, Festivals, Dinner with Friends, So on and So forth.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am serious when I need to be, and very much have my life in order, but would much rather be relaxing and being goofy, I make cheesy jokes, and do silly things, its a part of who I am. I've learned that open and honest communication is the only way to have meaningful relationships, and are absolutely necessary for conflict resolution.

You can recommend a killer documentary for me to watch on a topic you are passionate about.
