I am resilient, sarcastic, and dependable.

My Self-Summary

I'm a pretty easy going kind of person, accustomed to just going with the flow. I ususally spend my time watching movies and hanging out, but I'm willing to try most anything at least once. I'm a firm believer that life is only as good as the people you choose to spend it with rather then the activities you occupy yourself with.

Now, I can be a pretty random person, so here we go.
- I love going to Caribou Coffee, but I don't drink coffee.
- I think spitting is gross.
- I would like to some day live in a log house out in the woods, at least for a little while.
- I cuss like a sailor.
- I would like to try my hand at snowboarding.
- I play video games.
- I love being in the water, but I shy away from public beaches and pools.
- If I read or hear a word I am unfamiliar with, I'll actually look it up in a dictionary.
- I am a freeze baby.
- I prefer fake plants and flowers over real ones.
- I suffer from weak knees. ;)

What I’m doing with my life

Currently, I'm just working full time. I very recently got another promotion at the company I've been at for close to three years, and now primarily focus on Quality Assurance. I am also looking for a part time for the weekends, because I'm an over-acheiver like that. :)

I’m really good at

My friends tell me I'm a good friend and that I give practical and objective advise when they come to me with their problems, but considering they're self-proclaimed friends of mine, they may be biased. I'm also pretty good at carrying a conversation and happen to be a fantastic cross-stitcher. My mama taught me well. :) Speaking of needles and thread, I can fix a ripped seam like it's nobodies business.

I'm a center brained type of person, so I'm pretty good with both words and numbers. I can be somewhat handy and have updated or fixed something in every room of my house and have actually been electrocuted by my house on three seperate occasions. Good times, eh?

I'm really good at my job but I suppose it helps I'm a bit of an anal perfectionist that takes pride in my every accomplishment, regardless of it's importance.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told people first notice my self-confidence. But don't be fooled. I can be more insecure then a nun partaking in a swimsuit competition.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I read a lot of lesbian romance novels and have a strange appreciation for Dean Koontz.

As for movies, I love musicals, disney flicks and comedies. I absolutley love Ellen Degeneres' stand up Here and Now. I actually quote her quite often.

I love all kinds of music, but have a special appreciation for the golden oldies and light rock. I like country music as well and recently discovered my love of the eighties.

Have we noticed how loaded this question is, asking about favorite everythings all in one section. Ridiculous.

Food is good. I haven't tried a whole lot of ethnic foods, but I am broadening my horizons little by little. Feel free to suggest an interesting resturaunt to open me up a little. :) But if you want to really impress me, suggest a place where I can get a greasy cheesburger or a grilled cheese. That will rock my world. And considering this is a section for favorites, let me just put it out there. I have an orgasmic love affair with the orange chicken at LeeAnn Chins and the Chocolate Swirl Shake at Arby's.

Last but not least, television. I'm a little surprised OkCupid failed to throw this on their loaded question, but here goes. I don't watch a whole lot of tv. Can't stand the commercials and never remember when my shows are on. So I buy the seasons on DVD and watch them in my own time. I'm currently watching How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory. I'm also a fan of Reba and of course, Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman.

The six things I could never do without

- The internet, how else would I pay my bills?
- My sunglasses, cause my future's so bright I gotta wear shades. :)
- The color blue, only the best color ever.
- Mashed potatoes, perfect for any meal.
- Music, I may be off-key, but I love to sing along.
- And of course the ever popular, friends and family, because what would I do with out them?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

- When the fuck did that arrow get in the FedEx logo?
- Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
- There is a great need for a sarcasm font.
- How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
- I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
- How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?
- Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't
want to have to restart my collection.
- Sometimes I'll look down at my phone three consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

On a typical Friday night I am

Sadly, I'm usually at home, watching movies and just relaxing after a long work week. Maybe I'll go out with friends to the bar or karaoke, but that's usually reserved for Saturday night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I may be confident in myself, but I'm not as confident as I sometimes look. Due to this, as well as my over analyzing everything and being a perpetual worrier, I have a really hard time making the first move regarding matters of the heart.

I can't parallel park. End of story. Don't judge me.
