I am friendly, creative, and down-to-earth.
My Self-Summary
I've been on here for a few months now, so I think I'm going to
have to bite the bullet - I'm not just here for the quizzes.
I love to make new friends and on here I can do just that.
I live about an hour outside of Sydney, in an ecclectic and
friendly township. Growing up in such a place has given me a unique
outlook on life (I like to think). I relish the oddities in people
and firmly believe that life is to be enjoyed, savoured even. To
this end, I often venture out for tea parties, bushwalks and
book-finding/leaving adventures.
I like to spend my free time exploring, tasting, reading, creating
and researching seemingly useless information (it'll come in handy
one day, I'm sure).
I'm looking to befriend those of a similar mindset, who are
interested in more than the "How are you"s and "Lovely weather
today"s of conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm studying by correspondance. Generally, that leaves
me with plenty of free time for hobbies and work, though not at the
moment. Right now, I'm snowed under (literally, the amount of paper
I have is comparable to a snowdrift) with study. As this is the
case, I'm sorry in advance if I don't reply to messages as often as
I should.
As for the rest of my time, I'm learning to play the piano, I play
Netball and I work, though casually.
After this year is when all my plans start to kick in. I'm hoping
to apprentice in Patisserie and Chef work, after which I'll travel
to the UK to study and live for a few years, at least.
I’m really good at
Being optomistic and making comprehensive lists. I'm desperately
disorganised and always feel happier when I've written a list down,
whether I follow it is another matter entirely.
Other than that, I enjoy cooking, drawing, writing and
dress-making.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, appearance-wise, I'm of an average height and build, I have
brown hair and mostly wear dresses.
Other than that, I suppose that people would notice my smile. I
tend to think that smiling at everybody can make the world a more
pleasant place. It's amazing how much a simple smile can turn
somebody's day around.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm an avid reader and though I do love a good story, I'm trying to
get more into non-fiction. At the moment I'm reading up on wine,
mostly because I love having dinner parties and I want to be able
to match wines.
Some books I do love though, are Life of Pi, The Book Thief,
Hunting & Gathering and Alias Grace.
Movies are a mixed bag. A favorite few would have to be Amelie,
North and South, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Chocolate
and then anything by Wes Anderson really.
I adore music as an art form. Anything goes, with the exception of
death metal, hip hop and rap. Feel free to try and convince me of
their worth though, if you like.
I love good food. I'll eat most dishes, unless they are spicy or
too meaty. I'm a lover of brussel sprouts, basil pesto, smoked
salmon and chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
In the order they come to mind:
Family and Friends,
Nature,
Books,
Tea,
Good food,
Adventures.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My plans for the next few years...Shoes and dresses and lace. I
admit it. ... History and Art...
On a typical Friday night I am
Working till late. : (
After work, I tend to just have a belated dinner and go to bed.
Saturday night is more my 'going out' night, really.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I really love stationery. I find it hard to just walk past a
stationery shop without going inside to look at all the different
kinds of pens, papers, pencils and folders...
Also, I sometimes steal flowers from other people's gardens. When
out on long walks, if I see a bush with an abundance of flowers,
I'll pick a few, without so much as a qualm. I'm the sort of girl
that avid gardeners love to hate.
