Hi!! Nice to meet you :)

I live in Ontario, but I am working at an awesome job in Duarte! So if you live near Duarte I may be able to visit you after work, if our schedules line up that way.

I'm generally a happy guy, I prefer calm and quiet to chaotic, also I am one of the very few genuine nice guys out there. I am very dependable. I am quiet, serious, thoughtful, and kind. I am loyal and faithful. I am initially rather shy... until you get to know me.

I graduated from college in 2006 with a degree in Philosophy. I like to call it a degree in knowing how to think! Not many people are "trained to think" so to speak... and it shows, especially on the internet, lol. I greatly enjoyed my time in college and I found it to be a very fruitful and rewarding part of my life. I played in the "Wind Ensemble" which everyone just called Band xD I had a great deal of fun playing a diverse array of noisy percussion instruments.

I've got a wide variety of interests... I like going to the movies, swimming, wakeboarding, reading, watching anime, I used to make models (airplanes, rockets, etc) but I don't do that much anymore. the time I enjoy the most though, is hanging out with friends. I enjoy watching football or a movie and socializing, or going somewhere to eat. Once in a blue moon I like to go bowling - I love bowling, I even have my own shoes and a bowling ball.

Datelike activities I enjoy are: dinner and a movie (out or in), drinking, mini-golf, bowling, going to a bar, or something along those lines. Any combination thereof also sounds like fun.

if i have nothing better to do, I'll wind up killing time on the internet (usually facebook (please message me before you add me)), and chatting with people.

It's a bit difficult to describe, but most of what I do is create programs for machines that assemble electronic components on circuit boards. I find it to be a very interesting and rewarding job :) I do something different every day, and I have recently been put in charge of my company's push to go "paperless" :)

Also I have been working out at the local YMCA, I'm dedicated to working out at least 2 or 3 times a week. So far I'm doing well, I've lost about 21 pounds.

Listening. Watching movies. Swimming. Answering questions. Taking computers apart and putting them back together. Reading (I am extraordinarily literate and have read many, many books). I can write very well, but I don't enjoy writing.

I am considered a walking encyclopedia by many of my friends. They will often ask me random questions they want to know the answers to lol.

I do know a lot of trivia. I like to keep up with what's going on at NASA. Space and technology and how technology works are subjects I can wax eloquent on with little provocation (In other words, I am a very shy and quiet guy, but get me talking about space or technology, or something along those lines, and show any interest at all, and I will keep talking about it). I know a lot about science and technology.

Usually that I am quiet. After that, probably my intelligence. Occasionally I'm told my eyes. Other than that, probably personality things - I'm a pretty quiet person (especially in groups or around people I don't know), though I do very well in 1 on 1 situations. I'm willing to be talkative with the right person :)

I enjoy reading just about anything! I own many, many, many books. I used to have a wall that was converted entirely into bookshelves, those are where I keep my old college textbooks and a lot of philosophy books.

Lately I have just been reading whatever books are popular / being made into movies I want to see.

Some books that I have read repeatedly are:
Various Star Wars novels. The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings. Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The Harry Potter series. Johnathan Strange & Mr Norrell. The Twilight series (I refuse to refer to it as a "saga." the writing is terrible and the movies are awful, but hey, everyone likes to watch a train wreck every now and then). the Eragon books. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The Hunger Games books.

Books I've purchased most recently are the Game of Thrones books, a Complete Tales & Poems of Edgar Allen Poe, an Original Illustrated Sherlock Holmes book, and Dune.

I recently finished reading Speaker for the Dead, which is a continuation of the science fiction story Ender's Game (soon to be made a movie).

I like movies, so long as they have good acting and a decent plot. I enjoy a wide variety of movies. Some of my favorites are

Music: the same as movies, as long as it is good, I will listen to it. Generally I don't care for Country, but I have varied tastes, anything from Beethoven to Daft Punk to Lady Gaga to Pennywise to Sublime to Britney Spears to Metallica to Skrillex. I generally listen to spanglish radio on my way to work, or 102.7, 97.1, or NPR, whichever i find to be more entertaining on a given day.

Food is important, if you don't eat, you will be hungry.

I tend to order the same things whenever I go to fast food restaurants, I know my favorites and I tend to stick to them. Every now and then I'll try something new, just to see if I'll like it I will occasionally find a new favorite that way lol.

TV Shows I enjoy:
The Big Bang Theory (I own Seasons 1 - 4 on DVD) and
How I Met Your Mother, both are very entertaining shows.

I just started watching Doctor Who. I just finished watching the 3rd Series.

I like to watch both College and Pro football.
Additionally, I like PBS shows like NOVA and other educational television.
Anything esoteric or funny will catch my attention, like
Father Ted or The IT Crowd (which are both British comedy series).
Otherwise... I really don't watch too much TV.

I currently keep up with a few webcomics: Questionable Content, XKCD, Cyanide & Happiness, and (occasionally) Sinfest

Also I watch anime! my favorites include Hellsing, Lucky Star, Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Bleach, Trigun.... and lots more I can tell you all about if you want to ask :)

What I would do if I gained some superpower <-- probably this more than any other topic is what i'm thinking about at any given time.

Watching a DVD, sitting on the computer, doing laundry (yay for clean socks), reading, watching anime, and / or hanging out with my cousin Brenda or my buddy Lawrence, unless alternative plans have been made!

It has been too long since I have been on a good date, which is one reason I have a profile here on OKC

I have a deep and fairly profound appreciation for Lady Gaga's singing voice. She can sing, really sing, she has a great voice, and my favorite song of hers I have never heard played on the radio :)
