My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I awoke, only to see that the rest of the world is still asleep. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.

There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. I was born in Russia, but I've spent the better part of my life in Thailand. Yes, I am still a Russian citizen, and, no, I don't have an accent, and yes, I may pretend to have one if it makes you laugh. I've had a profile here since 2006 and don't really ever have much time to waste, but I strongly believe it's never too late to start all over again.

Wild thing, you make my heart sing. I'm romantic, confident, considerate, artistic, witty, free spirited, and I am easily satisfied with the very best.

I am a jack-of-all-arts who is endlessly globetrotting and looking for a new rush. I am a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. I graduated high school at the top of my class when I was fifteen and recently finished my journey through Reed College and UC Berkeley. I'm one of the most ambitious and hardworking people you will ever meet. I also rock at relaxing and putting my feet up, so I guess you could categorize that as the work-hard and play-hard mindset. I own many leather-bound books, and my home smells of rich mahogany. (If you get that reference, then you are a good sport and trooper. And you passed my test.)

Humor is very important to me. I am a connoisseur of laughter. If you really dislike MITCH HEDBERG or Bill Hicks or Sacha Baron Cohen or or Eddie Izzard or South Park or even old George Carlin, you probably won't like my sense of humor. It is definitely an acquired taste. On the surface, what I find to be funny is usually, but not always offensive, vulgar, sexual, racist or outright retarded to the point of absurdity. Underlying what would appear to be senseless "base" humor, there is a calculated ingenuity. I don't believe that offensive humor is inherently funny - it requires a subtle cleverness to really succeed. And everyone is well aware that I put the "b" in subtle, oh yeah, that's right.

I'm an ENFP (Champion) based on the Jung typology test, which means I'm enthusiastic, idealistic, and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests me. Great people skills. Need to live life in accordance with my inner values. Excited by new ideas, but bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering minute details of peoples’ lives. Some might mistake my remarkable memory for my first grade best friend’s mom’s birthday as an old school version of stalking, but I promise I’m not that creepy. I just listen, and like a human sponge, soak up all the random factoids my friends, family, and subway acquaintances offer on a daily basis. And when people aren’t disturbed about my memory for their personal details, they are often pleasantly surprised that someone actually took the time to really listen to their life stories.

Learning. All of the top achievers I know are life-long learners. Looking for new skills, insights, and ideas. If they're not learning, they're not growing, not moving toward excellence.

Meditating and staying true to myself. We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves. The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own.

Being clean and organized. People constantly comment on how clean and inviting my houses are.

Punctuality and efficiency. If I have made an appointment with you, I owe you punctuality, I have no right to throw away your time, if I do my own.

Horticulture. I know about the secret life of all plants.

Spontaneous dancing. You will often see me busting a move on bart or on the street or participating in flash mobs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The aura of awesomeness surrounding me is quite noticeable. Am I a man or am I a muppet? If I'm a muppet then I'm a very manly muppet.

Actually, scratch that, the first thing they notice is that I'm usually making some ridiculous self-aggrandizing statement. I'm a self-assured nerd who enjoys poking fun at himself and the absurdity of life in general.

I am not that difficult to spot in a crowd. Unlike most men I actually enjoy shopping and I dress to impress on a daily basis as a result of my mother being in the fashion industry (thanks, mom, love ya').

Some friends have noted that I look like a Russian cross of Johnny Depp in Blow and Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach with the personality of Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Neil Patrick Harris. They would often describe me as being very zen or contemplative. There are very few things that would make me panic or lose face and I seem to have a calming effect on most people.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Love
2) Art
3) Freedom
4) Health
5) Transportation
6) A place to call home
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Alive!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dad was a spy with a background in linguistics and my mom was an international supermodel/designer. They met in Bangkok and moved there permanently to start their own business. My family is full of hidden talents.

I'm into recycling and sustainable living, but unlike most hippies, I'm also into maintaining personal hygiene and encourage going the extra mile to obtain the best shampoos and colognes.

I am a sapiosexual - a person who is attracted to intelligence in others.

The true gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.

Chivalry and true romance are not dead. I am a gentleman who has tremendous respect for the opposite sex and I will do things like buy you flowers and chocolate for no specific reason. Men don't have to be assholes to be dominant, especially in the 21st century.

Machismo is an outdated concept and is perpetuated by men with low self-esteem and the naive women that support them. Becoming the type of masculine, complete man that women are uncontrollably attracted to is a lifelong process. As soon as you think you’ve arrived, you see there’s another higher level on the horizon, it's like climbing a mountain that has no peak.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You aren't afraid to take the initiative. Proactive and confident women are a turn on. The distances that you choose not to travel to meet a stranger like me are not as long as you think.

You want to add value and genuinely help a situation, instead of saying and doing things to win attention and approval.

You've traveled somewhere amazing and want to tell me about it. I have a couple of friends that are pro photographers and they've been nagging me about bringing someone to model for them in exotic locations. Experience isn't necessary.

You have a keen sense of humor that helps you overlook the unbecoming, understand the unconventional, tolerate the unpleasant, overcome the unexpected, and outlast the unbearable.

You enjoy playing pool and want to learn how to be better at it.

You want to get dressed up on weekends and paint the town red.

You are not a flake or dislike flakey people in general.

You think my list of favorite authors is missing a critical person. The same applies to movies and directors. Please share!

You're smart, but not cynical. Also, you should not be desperate, clingy, negative, creepy or ignorant. Crazies need not apply. I've been on a lot of dates and I have really good instincts about differentiating between those who are simply quirky and those who are literally insane.

You've actually ready any of this. If you didn't - please, just do us both a favor, and don't be fake. A partner that can read is a partner indeed.
