My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a soon to be 30 year old dude just trying to make some meaningful connections.
I probably value presence and authenticity more than anything else in my life right now.

My career is fun but isn't particularly soul nourishing so I spend a lot of my free time immersing myself in various hobbies and intellectual pursuits.
Currently: perfect naturally leavened pizza.
My sense of humor could be best described as dark and wry. There isn't much that can't be looked at with a smile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Climbing, bread making, cooking, fermenting, biking, swimming, hiking, learning, music-ing, eating, lots of eating.

But seriously, one of the most important things that I'm doing with my life right now is stopping and giving myself the time to take in and enjoy the beauty of the present. I realize that might come across as really cheesy or something, but I really find the mindset essential for happiness.

Dog dad to two super rad pups.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Food things....

I can cook you a mean Chinese dinner. Sichuanese, Hunanese, Hakka, you got it. Learning these styles of cooking had been an absolute obsession for years.

Naturally leavened breads, pickles, cheese, charcuterie, I've got my hands in all the cookie jars.

I may have brewed a handful of award winning beers too but I'm not much into that these days.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm really into Eckart Tolle right now but Don Delillo, Edward Abbey and Mikhail Bulgakov are probably my all time favorite authors.

As far as shows go, I've been digging the birthday boys (anything with Bob Odenkirk is fine by me), true detective, mind of a chef and last week tonight.

Favorite podcasts: Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, Freakanomics, WTF, Radiolab, Coast to Coast.

Music.... Record collector for sure. I like a lot of older psych and garage type stuff from the 70's and 80's, but I'm also really loving a lot of the indie type stuff that's getting popular these days. I saw Wye Oak the other night and I am totally obsessed.

Your as likely to see the Wipers or Wire on my record player as you are to see Promise Ring or Mac Demarco. I love it all.

Food: Currently on a nonstop tour of 82nd ave.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love

An instrument
The Internet (don't you judge me!)
Some sort of fire.
Mapo Tofu... Seriously, I just can't quit you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to find happiness in the day to day.

How the hell people still seem to be able to afford living here.

D.B Cooper

How I can become a better friend/lover/communicator.

How certain flavors will go together.
