My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in Rio. Raised in NY. Flourishing in SF.

I'm a realistic optimist and my glass is always all full. Because...well, physics.

I can, and often do, have fun anywhere even when it's not what I expected. I appreciate what I have, and the opportunities yet to come. I roll with reality quite well. It would be awesome if you do too.

It would be nice to meet a curious, confident, creative and kind woman that actually lives the balance between being fun, and basic accountability (insecure narcissists, passive aggressive types, & flakes need not apply). Also, please be a clear, honest and direct communicator. Thanks!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These days, I'm going to see live bands, plays, stand up comedy, films, art exhibitions, and other expressions of hilarious humanity, as often as possible. I could also use a partner to sign up to the bike kitchen and join me in building a better (than I currently have) bike from scratch.

Update: started volunteering at the bike kitchen to earn my membership. It's an education ( to say the least).

Also, while not a culinary genius by any means, I really do like cooking and could make a good sous chef (with some kind direction, of course).

For work, I founded and ran an artist management company (for musicians) in NYC & Tokyo. It was fun and allowed me to travel the world, problem solve on a daily basis and help musicians make a living. I've also co-founded and operated a film festival (also in NYC) for five years.

I'm currently working as an Director of Ops for a food & hospitality company, here in the Bay. It's challenging, fun and a constant learning experience.

Additionally, I volunteer some Sunday mornings at a neighborhood farmers market that gives away food to members in the community. Good stuff, indeed.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Laughing, loving and following through.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Tallish, baldish and, culturally speaking (but certainly not religiously), Jew(ish).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I often skip over this part in others' profiles, but if you like lists, here are a bunch that are completely pointless when it comes to compatibility, but were fun for me to make.

Books : Just finished Inside of a Dog. I'm currently enjoying Southern Bastards (graphic novel by Jason Aaron & Jason Latour) as well as starting The History Of Love by Nicole Krause. Everything Vonnegut (duh).

Movies : All well thought out documentaries, drama, action and sci-fi are appreciated. Some of my favorite narratives are The Shining, Cities of Lost Children, Delicatessen, Birdman, The Descent, To Kill A Mockingbird, Rear Window, The Departed, Apocalypse Now, The Host (Korean) and Let The Right One In (original). And, of course, the usual directors : Kubrick, Hitchcock, Coens, Park Chan Wook, Scott, Coppola & Boyle.

Food : Mostly grilled (or raw) fish, spicy organic vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, hummus, and the occasional juicy-ass organic burger.

Humor : Clever and absurd.

TV : The Wire, True Detective, Last Week Tonight, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt.

Plays : Last year, I took in two plays, in two days, on two coasts. See what I just did there? I too can be a world traveling, name dropping jack-ass, without actually dropping any names!

Music :

I have been fortunate to have seen/heard Prince perform 5 times (4 of which over 2 days in a small, 500 capacity room)! I also have a great deal of love for Outkast, Talking Heads, John Coltrane, PJ Harvey, Refused, Iggy & The Stooges, Blond Redhead, Tom Waits, Billie Holiday, Metallica, Depeche Mode, Fugazi, Eric B. & Rakim, Screaming Females, Bad Brains, Radiohead (The Bends - In Rainbows), Happy Fangs, Joy Division, Wire, Gang of Four, Public Enemy, and The Smiths. Yes, The Smiths were awesome. Morrissey? Not so much.

The big ones for me are Bowie, Biggie, Stevie, Dolly, Johnny & Dylan. Also, early Brian Eno & Missy Elliot kill it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Art , Sex, Laughter, Gravity, Photosynthesis, & other people's Dogs.

Editors note - Yes, the word Dogs should always be capitalized. Because...Dogs! Yeah, I love 'em.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People on OKC who state that their sign is "Cancer and laughing about it". Who are these heartless people who laugh about cancer?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
using this section to protest that "no Friday night is typical" and that I'm a unique snowflake.

you are emotionally available and can deal with life's challenges (and disappointments) in a reasonable, measured way.

you're curious, physically affectionate, compassionate and know that your past doesn't outshine your future.

you don't smoke cigarettes, or you've cut down a bit every day until you don't need those stinky crutches.

you are a kind and fun woman that knows that Jesus is just the adult version of Santa.

you have a sense of humor and an appreciation for the creative and/or absurd.

you can write a sentence instead of "like"ing me. I can't see it, and even if I could, I would just think that you're too lazy to write a sentence.

you treat service staff as respectfully as you treat your boss.

you believe that smart is sexy and kindness is king.

you are an emotional grown up.

you're not either of these people : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQKdEdzHnfU

DISCLAIMER - I know it says that I'm "online now". But I'm not. Not even right now. Nope.
