My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in Brazil, raised in NY, and am loving the FallSpringFallSpringFallSpring in SF.

I'm a realistic optimist and my glass is always all full.
Because...well, physics.

I'm kind, and at the same time, am the proud owner of a potentially inappropriate sense of humor.

I tend to get along best with women who are smart, kind, and roll well with life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These days, I'm going to see live bands (punk, metal, soul, bluegrass, blues, jazz, name it), plays, stand up comedy, films, art exhibitions, and other expressions of beautiful imperfection.

Past work included founding and operating an artist management company (for musicians) in NYC & Tokyo. It was fun and allowed me to travel the world, problem solve on a daily basis, and help musicians make a living. I've also produced a bunch of albums (remember those?) and executive produced a bunch of videos, and one feature length film. At some point, I co-founded and operated a film festival (also in NYC) for 666 years. Actually, just one 6. But I like to throw that in, incase any hardcore religious types take interest in my profile (it actually happens more often than you'd think).

To balance out my implied (but not actual) Satanism, I actually do volunteer some Sunday mornings at a neighborhood farmers market that gives away food to members in the community.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Laughing at things that are awesome, crying at things that are sappy, and following through on my commitments. Because in a land so thickly inhabited by those addicted to escapism, someone has to.

*shakes fist at clouds while demanding kids get off my lawn*

I don't actually have a lawn. Nor do I care what kids do with it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Tallish, baldish and, culturally speaking (but certainly not religiously), Jewish.

DISCLAIMER - I know it says that I'm "online now". But I'm not.
Not even now.

I often skip over this part in others' profiles, but if you like lists, here are a bunch that are completely pointless when it comes to compatibility, but were fun for me to make.

Books : Just finished Inside of a Dog. I'm currently enjoying Southern Bastards (graphic novel by Jason Aaron & Jason Latour) as well as starting The History Of Love by Nicole Krause. Everything Vonnegut (duh).

Movies : All well thought out documentaries, drama, action, horror, and sci-fi are appreciated. Some of my favorite narratives are The Shining, Cities of Lost Children, Delicatessen, The Descent, To Kill A Mockingbird, Rear Window, The Departed, Apocalypse Now, The Host (Korean) and Let The Right One In (original).

And, of course, the usual directors : Kubrick, Hitchcock, Coens, Park Chan Wook, Pedro Almodóvar, Scott, Coppola & Boyle.

Food : Mostly grilled (or raw) fish, spicy organic vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, hummus, and the occasional juicy-ass organic burger.

Humor : Clever and absurd.

TV : The Wire, True Detective (1st season), Last Week Tonight, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt, Jessica Jones.

Theater : Last year, I took in two plays, in two days, on two coasts. See what I just did there? I too can be a world traveling, name dropping jack-ass, without actually dropping any names.

Music : The big ones for me are Bowie, Biggie, Stevie, Dolly & Johnny. Also, early Brian Eno, Missy Elliot & Bill Withers kill it.

I have been fortunate to have seen/heard Prince perform 5 times (4 of which over 2 days in a small, 500 capacity room)!

I also have a great deal of love for Talking Heads, John Coltrane, PJ Harvey, Refused, Iggy & The Stooges, Blond Redhead, Tom Waits, Billie Holiday, Metallica, Depeche Mode, Fugazi, Eric B. & Rakim, Screaming Females, Bad Brains, Radiohead (The Bends - In Rainbows), Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Joy Division, Wire, Gang of Four, Public Enemy, Happy Fangs, King Sunny Ade, The Birthday Party, and The Smiths. Yes, The Smiths were awesome. Morrissey? Not so much.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Art , Sex, Laughter, Gravity, Photosynthesis, & other people's Dogs.

Editors note - Yes, the word Dogs should always be capitalized. Because...Dogs! Yeah, I love 'em.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People on OKC who state that their sign is "Cancer and laughing about it". Who are these heartless bastards who laugh about cancer?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...using this section to protest that "no Friday night is typical!" and that I'm a unique snowflake. I actually prefer Thursday's.
