My Self-Summary

I'm vegan, queer, and I really like bicycles. I grow a lot of my own food. I'm an on-again off-again bartender. I'm a Youth services librarian and I love it. I refuse to pay more than five dollars for a piece of clothing. I have a whole lot of things I'm planning on accomplishing and a fairly limited amount of time to accomplish them. I like to overwork myself. I do some performance art on the side, burlesque and whatnot. I have trained with many national non-profits around the country and am hoping to continue that work here. I'm enjoying life a lot.

What I’m doing with my life

I just returned to school to study botany and peace and conflict resolution. I work a lot and am very active for causes I believe in. I'd like to use my degree to go to law school or library school. I'm (perpetually) working on starting a queer burlesque troupe. I'm working on creating programs for environmental awareness in local high schools at the moment. I also host the only showing of Rocky Horror anywhere near here.

I'm really good at networking and juggling an impossible schedule. I tend to pick up things fast.

Probably my hair. Or piercings. Or that they can't tell if I'm a boy or a girl.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite books are The Once and Future King and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I also really like reading biographies of former activists. And I'm in love with Oscar Wilde. I read a lot.

My favorite movies are usually John Waters films... and Tank Girl. I'm a fan of any movie that the makeup and hair can change in every scene and it doesn't detract from the film. I like movies that create their own worlds.

My favorite bands are Joan Jett, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Epoxies, and most riot grrl stuff.

The six things I could never do without
