"I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made: Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee; And live alone in the bee-loud glade. And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow….- Yeats
Kind words from a friend after sharing a coffee, she has had a tough life.
"I wanted to say thanks again for meeting & say that I really do appreciate having you in my life. I am blessed to have wonderful friends & I include you in that."
I've launched my Bed & Breakfast recently, many challenges. My guest from Paris, an international Internet consultant left recently - I enjoyed his company & he enjoyed my simple cooking, despite his diet of freshly baked croissants from the local bakery each day in Paris. It made me feel less guilty clogging his arteries each morning with cheddar cheese / eggs / carbs and tasty canadian bacon, along with chocolate chip pancakes, covered in erzatz syrup ( I have a weakness for Aunt Jemima : )
My latest guest, an I.T. specialist. I can't believe how hard she has to work.
"I’m the boatman, I ferry damaged souls across the river of dread, till the light of hope is dimmly visible, I stop, push them in the water and tell them swim.” - Up In The Air

I've not found love, but I've formed some extraordinary positive female friendships that I value, and who take pity and advise me how to negotiate some interactions. Women are nice in that way.

My Top Interests
I once watched a PBS documentary about successful long term relationships lasting over 30-years.
They found despite age, culture or economics, three ingredients were universally necessary, accept the emotional baggage, be flexible, and have a good sense of humour.
I'm now semi-retired, slightly dyslexic :-( My friends describe me as:
Although a former photojournalist, I have an interest in molecular biology, oncology, neurology and know what PICC lines are, and that you need a Huber needle to access a portacath. I know what it is like to orchestrate a humane home death, which palliative care nurses will know about, Dilaudid and Dehydration.
I also speak Polish as a second language and I make a great Cesar salad.
I enjoy cooking/baking, killer banana bread when time allows, and random acts of kindness.
I'm looking for a lunch or dinner companion that would enjoy a pleasant conversation, I repeat , I'm looking for a lunch or dinner companion that would enjoy a pleasant conversation, nothing more, nothing less.
