Apparently either the OkC Bot thinks I live there, or it has exhausted all the potential "matches" in New Jersey. 

I'm not opposed to Brooklyn or its inhabitants (coming from Denver, I've never been there so have no opinion of either).  I just I wonder why that particular location *keeps* coming up. 

Maybe I should move there as it's apparently where I'm "Cupidly" Aligned to be.

Unfortunately, at the moment, my job is located in the NJ side of Philly--I suppose a day trip or weekend jaunt is probably more likely.

As you can see from my July 19th post below, this obviously isn't a new thing...

Anyway, if any of the Brooklynites (Brooklynonians? Brooklynistas?...whatever you call yourselves) I've visited can explain the pull to your area, feel free to let me know.

Until then I'll just ponder it from my place in The Swamp.

OkC Bot fails at it. 

For 'within 50 miles' I keep getting matches in Brooklyn, NY. 

Now, I'm not opposed to meeting anyone from Brooklyn.  Some of the profiles seem cool.  So, I have nothing against Brooklyn

I've never been there, so why would I dislike it or its inhabitants?

But look at a map, it's 76miles, which is more than 50. 

I know because I checked.  Brooklyn came up with 16 toes and 10 fingers more than 50. 

Now, 26miles more isn't that big of a deal, it's not like it's 2600.  26 is barely noticeable.

If you're driving that extra 26 miles then by the time you make your requisite 8 phone calls, send 15 texts and sort through your iPod for that one song you can't find (not that one, the other one...nope...keep looking...) you'd already be there. 

Possibly, you'd be well past there. 

26miles really isn't that far when you're driving and on the phone.

Of course, you could take the train, but then you can't endanger everyone else on Eisenhower's master roadways.

Or, you could hang up and drive...

Number of minutes I've spent on OkC tonight without actually doing anything constructive...and when OkC states: "'X' just uploaded new pictures", it lies.

Someone challenge me to a game of Questions, Risk, Jenga or checkers...or discuss Descartes' impact on modern society outside of his most famous quote...dueling with nerf pistols?

Something, anything, throw me a bone...I'd even consider a snowball fight (you supply the snow).

...is much nicer than I expected.  189miles in less time than it takes to get across the Ben Franklin Bridge into Philly (which is roughly 3 hours, give or take 2.  Depends on the alignment of key celestial bodies, the direction of the prevailing wind, construction, accidents, construction accidents, and the number of clouds in the sky).

I'd write more, but I just got into the hotel, and plan on crashing since I avoided it the whole trip up here.

And, apparently, I can get on OkC...for the time being at least.

Besides, I could use the entertainment to distract me from the ambient hotel noise of elephants in the hallway and the bedroom rodeo next door...at least I hope it's a rodeo. 

Otherwise, I wonder what they're doing to that poor clown...
