Who am I? An old friend of mine likes to describe me as the most generous, caring friend he knows, while simultaneously being the most devious, satirical, pragmatist he knows. He's mostly right.... The truth is I'm very friendly and outgoing, and genuinely like helping others. To balance this, I've got a twisted sort of humor that loves playing devil's advocate at the expense of social norms. Fear not though, I usually know when I can and can't get away with a faux pas.

(a) I have a healthy appreciation for books from SciFi (Ender's Game Series) to fantasy (GoT, Kingkiller Chronicles) to pop fiction (Anita Blake, Dresden Files), and many more.
(b) Quality classics (The Goonies, Evil Dead, Ferris Bueller, The Princess Bride), Action ( The Dark Knight, The Avengers), Feel-good movies (American Beauty, Devil's Advocate, Saved, Dr.Horrible's Sing-along Blog), and anything by Kevin Smith.
(c) Tori Amos, Nirvana, U2, David Bowie, Moby, The Cranberries, and Ramstein (plus most things in between).
(d) I'm willing to experiment with just about any type of cuisine, although my home cooking tends towards the spicy. Of late, I've started this crazy weight loss / work out challenge that's put me on a heavy protein diet, although I have to break it for the occasional Sushi binge!
I casually started a convo with a stranger here because we had similar interests at the time. We had similar tastes in movies and music, and we were both into counterstrike (an old shoot'em up computer game). After a couple weeks, rather than meeting for the first time over coffee, I invited her to a LAN party to geek out over computer games. Unsure at first (who wouldn't be nervous meeting a stranger at a private home ), her boredom won out and she convo'd me for the address.
Of all the places in the entire city of Omaha, she was in the house next door. We both walked out onto each house's porch, and we were right next to each other! How does that happen? It was so weird!!
