So a little about myself. I'm an Army brat and an only child. Born in South Korea but raised mostly across several states in America. I attended high school in Colorado Springs and then graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Psychology and Kinesiology. Now I'm working on my pre-requisites for Physical Therapy graduate school.
Speaking of Kinesiology and physical therapy; I find the human body and movement extremely fascinating. Olympic athletes are obvious examples of the pinnacle of human movement but even simple motions such as walking and running is interesting and complex. Someday I'll practice physical therapy, possibly even in the military, but one step at a time. Currently I'm still just volunteering at physical therapy clinics.
Obviously exercise and fitness are important to me. I've done martial arts all my life. It's a requirement for all Asians, that with running up walls and dry cleaning laundry and math; the secret is all the white rice we eat, it gives us super human powers. =P I've trained in Taekwondo for nearly a decade, Muay Thai Kick Boxing with UFC fighters for half a decade, and now I'm currently learning a little Judo. I love it and I would love to compete or teach some day. I love boxing and UFC, I know some people find it brutish but there's quite a lot of technical skill involved in fighting and that excites me. I would love to discuss the sport and its intricacies if interested.
In my free time I enjoy movies, video games, browsing the internet, and music. I'm addicted to my Netflix account and I'm always looking to see the newest summer blockbuster. I'll watch anything from documentaries, anime, tragic dramas, foreign art films, chop sockey kung fu movies, slapstick comedies, mind bending thrillers, and I adore musicals. I do play my share of video games when I have time. When I was growing up, I spent a lot of nights in arcades in bowling alleys while my parents bowled (military bases all have bowling alleys for some reason, you'd think bowling was the army's official sport or something) playing Street Fighter and Pinball. I'll play first person shooters like Call of Duty sometimes but I admit, I'm pretty terrible at those games. Haha. I spend way too much money on rock shows and concerts. I love music, I listen to a few hours of music daily, and seeing your favorite band in concert live is such an amazing high. I'm also an obsessive karaoke singer, while I give my best performances in the shower, I do my fair share of Rockband. I'm that annoying guy who can take anything you say and jump into a tune. I think that comes from my love of movie musicals (how awesome would life be if people just spontaneously broke into song and dance?)
A few random facts about me: I stay up late and wake up early. I love naps. I've never met a cookie I didn't like. I like to tell corny jokes and then pretend like I've just told the most hilarious joke of all time. I think hugs are awesome. I really like fedoras. I once milked a goat. Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles are my childhood heroes. Bruce Lee and Genki Sudo are some of my heroes as well. Halloween is my favorite holiday because what isn't there to like about being able to dress up in costume without being looked at like a weirdo...while drunk. I'm also super adorable.
