My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in Kentucky. Grew up stickin' it to the Man in all-boys Catholic school and learning to love life at Summer camp in North Carolina. Studied Buddhism and Teaching at the University of Virginia. Rode a bike across the country twice and fell in love with America. Moved to Colorado and find myself. Found out the "real world" can actually be really fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After finally graduating with my Masters in Teaching I moved out to Denver, the city of my dreams, last year to work for the public school system. I want to be a teacher. These days I dance between working at a kickass craft beer bar downtown, where I currently hold 4 different titles, and working for a music school teaching guitar and ukelele to little kids. I spend a lot of my free time out exploring the city and the mountains, reading good books, or procrastinating on making art. I'm really eager to meet new people and have new experiences. I want to get the most out of my life here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking to strangers
Making geeky references
Dancing (ironically)
Saying "Yes"
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Big smile
Broad shoulders
Boundless enthusiasm
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" by Ken Kesey
"The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkein
"Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn
"One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
George Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" Series

Firefly (Tragically cancelled before its time)
Deadwood (Tragically cancelled before its time)
Arrested Development (Netflix works miracles)
The Simpsons (Actually should have probably been cancelled by now)

I like comedies, adventures, and adventure/comedies. I have a serious weakness for "The Big Lebowski", and I have a really bad habit of opting to just watch that movie over and over. I like saving first experiences with a new movie for when I can watch it with friends. Among other things I still really need to see "Breakfast Club", "The Godfather", and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I know, I know.

My Morning Jacket
The Allman Brothers
The Black Keys
The Rolling Stones

I lean towards older and more classic Americana-type sounds but I'm always down to learn about new music.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My Guitar
2) A Good Book
3) The Outdoors
4) Comfort Food and Beer (There's a brewery in my hometown that insists "Beer is Food", so I feel like it's cool to wrap them up as one item)
5) Laughter
6) Adventure
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...frivolously abstract things. Society, spirituality, the backstory for my Skyrim character, what spice would go best in my next batch of beer, things like that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...looking for something to do that will make for a good story on Monday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I decided a couple months ago that I want to grow up to be a shaman.
