My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like new ideas and cheesy jokes and urban rambles.

I care about doing work that matters.

I'm endlessly curious and like investigating the minds of interesting people. If we get together, I will ask you too many questions.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Skinny-dipping as often as possible.

Reading and writing. For many hours. Everyday. I'm in a doc. program.

Sometimes I take boggle breaks. Or bluegrass breaks. Or brunch breaks.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding ways to tromp around exotic destinations on the cheap.

Locking myself out of my apartment.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I just read Wild and liked it a lot. Some of my all-time favorites include:
The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Bean Trees.
Strictly Ballroom. Spellbound. Star Wars. 5th Element. The Breakfast Club. Waitress. Lars and the Real Girl.
Chocolate milkshakes. Chocolate brownies (chewy and with none of this fruit nonsense messing them up). Lobster. Sweet plantain quesadillas from Pequena's. Bierkraft sandwiches.... I'm a fan of food generally.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
people
backrubs
sunshine
coffee
parks of all kinds
public transportation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my imaginary small business/novel/film/play/parade/farm/cross-country bike trip/brownstone/food truck/religion/new world order would look like.

Language/culture/cognition and how they're all tangled up in one big fascinating knot.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A good friend once told me that I needed to just give up on regular clothes and go with a full body rubber suit so that I could get hosed off at the end of each day (i.e. I'm too messy for regular clothes). I kind of think this is a good idea. I mean, it'd have to be a sexy rubber suit. (An oxymoron?) Like Scarlett Johansson's get up in The Avengers... but, y'know... hose-able.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm into articulate and goofy.* I like people who play with words.
Also, if you are good at concocting yummy things to eat, I will adore you automatically.

*If you are neither articulate nor goofy, but are devastatingly handsome, you should still message me.
