My self-summary
I am a recently retired teacher of philosophy. My dream was to have time to write and, at last, I do! I am writing, living off-the-grid, studying buddhism, and trying to get fit. I just put in a big garden.
My unpublished novel is titled "A Hobo's Daughter" and I am working on finding an agent. I love ideas and need someone willing to engage! I also am passionate, affectionate, and romantic.

Oh, and I just lost 15 pounds so I'll get a new picture up soon! Maybe after the next ten pounds.
What I’m doing with my life
I am studying basic carpentry and building a shed. I've also been to boat building school and almost have my baidarka kayak done. It still needs the skin. I attend an occasional writer's workshop and I like open mic nights at your local coffee house.
I’m really good at
smiling. I smile a lot.
The first things people usually notice about me
I tend to be quiet but can become quite talkative under certain circumstances. Especially if the topic is philosophy/buddhism or gardening.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love jazz and jazz fushion music. Sushi is a special treat!
The six things I could never do without
Nature, lots of time in nature.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
reading. But I'd like to expand into dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just recently discovered what chemistry can do for a romance! Amazing to me that I'd never experienced that before. Alas, the rest of the relationship didn't work.
You should message me if
you are not frightened away by a politically radical woman who sometimes meditates for hours. And if you are also politically radical (I have discovered recently that conservative just doesn't work for me).
