My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I find people fascinating - what motivates us, why we can't always get our needs met and how we can by being more authentic. I also love hearing people's unique story. I am also happy alone to rejuvenate, explore or just slob on the couch. I like snow and wind and would dearly love more of both, often together, knowing I can warm up when I am inside...maybe I need to live elsewhere? I like growing and cooking food, dancing, swimming, drawing, walking, exploring Scotland, going to second hand shops and helping to build the community I live in
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
exploring ways to thrive financially, emotionally, spiritually and creatively that are gentle on people and the planet, learning to be more present in the moment and value what I have already, - health, friends, family, income, skills, objects - which is so much
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
spontaneous cooking, having silly fun, listening, making and mending, upcycling, getting to the bottom of issues, watching films, walking [everywhere]

I read alot and have loved some walking and climbing books like Mountain Days and Bothy Nights + WH Murray's Evidence of Things Not Seen. I also like authors Douglas Adams, Alice Walker, John Steinbeck, Bill Bryson, Hilary Mantel, Roald Dahl, Andrew Greig, Roger Deakin, Alan Bennett, Joanna Macy....films like "I Know Where I am Going" from Powell and Pressburger, anything with Katherine Hepburn or James Stewart, Hal Hartley films from the 80's and 90's, Coen Brothers, Ealing Studio comedies, Fred Astaire dancing! It's not possible to highlight one or two as there are many that have meant alot to me at different points in my life. Nothings beats live performance whether gigs, shows, theatre, opera - looking forward to Celtic Connections.
Food - hmm...twice cooked chips, capers, tortillas, vege stews, oatcakes and peanut butter, rosemary, mature cheddar on rye with sundried tomatoes, roast veg...Kelpie - seaweed ale, not really food but very tasty!
Oh, and music..Soul, Jazz, Funk and R and B to dance to, I love Aretha Franklin and Nat King Cole for their voices and phrasing, some classical, male voice choirs, Joan Armatrading, Diana Ross, Judy Garland, Bjork, Ivor Cutler.
