Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Bukowski is by far my favorite writer (Women, Factotum, Ham on Rye). I dig the man's unfettered honesty. I think Hemingway even held back quite a bit. Bukowski throws it all out there on the table good or bad. Not many people admit to, not only the fact that they caught crabs, but that they also left the medication on overnight and got 3rd degree burns all up on their business. I appreciate that I get the story exactly as it was. Other favorites, Hunter S. Thompson, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, I'd like Sam Harris better if he didn't use unnecessary words like "prestidigitation." Slight of hand would have worked just fine Sir. I read 30 pages of "The Universe in a Nut Shell" before I went cross eyed. I also read a lot of random science. My two favorite websites are Edge.org and Ted.com. I spend far too much time between the two.

I love The Big Lebowski. It's hilarious and clever and it never gets old. Close behind are are Caddyshack, The Shawshank Redemption, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I don't have a ton of time for T.V. these days. I grew up watching The Simpsons, they are my second family. I also watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Don't you find it strange that Comedy Central is home to the two most honest political commentators in the Biz!?

Food that I love, in no particular order, Korean BBQ, Indian, American BBQ, Thai, Greek, I don't dig Sushi but I'll have something Teriyaki or Tempura if you insist. There's a special place in my heart for Roscoe's. I'm sorry but whoever thought of putting chicken and waffles together deserves the Nobel.

I can also cook like nobody's business. I make some mean Bulgogi, I've done Malaysian Chili Crab, Nem Nuong Cuon (don't be lazy look it up), for some reason Creme Brule impresses people. It's wicked easy so I'll keep making it because of the effort to impressive ratio.
The six things I could never do without
All I need is this ashtray... And this paddle game. - The ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need... And this remote control. - The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need... And these matches. - The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control, and the paddle ball... And this lamp. - The ashtray, this paddle game, and the remote control, and the lamp, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The paddle game and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches for sure.

One of the greatest movies scenes of all time! Tell me what movie it's from and you win the Ashtray, the remote control, the matches, the lamp, the chair, and the magazine...the paddle ball game is mine though! Luckily for you I share.
